gleam.io steals peoples information, I had installed it to try, and it wants to "control" your YouTube channel and allows it to post comments - seems shady as hell, imo. Maybe I'm just paranoid...

Well, I mean, I guess it isn't technically "stealing," but people are agreeing to giveaway their information, which is kept on the server side, and probably sold to who knows who.

Joining a Steam group isn't too bad, since there's not much personal information on people's Steam profiles. But other social media, this isn't usually the case.
