I used to say thank you but stopped when I realised some people don't want the notifications and that bots and scripters use it a lot. Btw, I think bots that say thank you are still better than bots that don't

I don't personally believe there are particularly many thank-bots being used, mainly because there really isn't any incentive for that. Granted, I have actually been asked to make scripts to automatically write "Thanks" whenever a giveaway is entered (I ignore such requests) so they might well exist to some extent, but I do think that their presence is massively overestimated.
