By posting it here in public, you could have given the key to anyone who happened to look at this GA of mine, including the person who commented above you.
There is a reason the SG system is set up as t is, and why using private communication is smarter than posting thing like keys in public areas. Happy Holidays to you as well, and thank you for making this right, but how you did it is not best practice.
As EvilGinger013 wrote key that's posted in public places (giveaway comments, forum reply) can be seen by anyone. That's why it's not advised to use this way of communication with winner.
You can change key after giveaway end instead. Go to this page of giveaway, and you will see Modify link next to the key. When you press it, you will be able to change key.
You can also use it if you realize that you pasted wrong key during giveaway creation. Simply wait for giveaway to end, and modify key. No need to delete and re-create giveaway.
Sadly modifying it doesn't give winner new notification. But it's enough to poke them that you posted new key. They can access their won page again, and will see correct key.
I looked all over the FAQs on how to remedy the situation and couldn't find anything, maybe you could make it a little clearer on how to handle this in case it t happens again. I also tried to find out how to add you as a steam friend and that wasn't obvious either.im glad it got to you but I think I'll head back to Reddit to give away steam keys.
