seriously, how does this crap get on steam.
Easy, no more Green Light.
In any case there´s no accounting for taste, one man´s trash is another man´s treasure, as the saying goes.
Green light don't exist anymore bro
One has to pay 100 USD/EUR to get it there. And that's it. If it uses illegal assets, it's fine. If it's illegal in any way, it's still fine. Valve doesn't care. They just added Steam is learning about this game -info on games that are crap and will most likely be removed in the future.
Also those games don't give +1 so no one really buys them and so all they're left with are bundles and free promotional giveaways like this.
That's for new indie releases in general, though, isn't it?
Yeah that "Steam is learning about this game" thing is new, it will stay for as long as they will develop a new system to check on games. I liked Steam Greenlight more than this Steam Direct, but maybe next one will beat both of them. After that I guess they'll do classical purge where 95% of the games with "Steam is learning about this game" will be deleted from the Store, and 5% will be granted a full game status automatically.
You know, it costs 100 dollars to put something up through Steam Direct, no matter how crappy it is. Also, there's no reason to purge anything. Brutal Runner won't hinder the GTA V experience, etc.
It's an open market.
We need diaper-super heroes and champions!
Thanks a lot.
