How to use a sniper rifle

• Get a good sniper rifle. Having a good rifle can be the difference between an amazing shot and a glorified miss.
• Follow the basic shooting instructions. Visualize/focus, relax, balance/aim, breathing/ 1-2-3 shoot, trigger control, follow through
• Focus on the target. Zone out pretty much everything except the target. This is to eliminate all distractions.
• Take aim on the target. Remember, aim small-miss small. That means if you aim for something like the belly button and your shot is off it will still hit their midsection. (and remember, if your target is moving, put a lead on him).
• Slowly inhale. Control your breathing. When you breathe, your crosshairs rise and fall. This will offset your shot. Hold your breath.
• After counting to 3, slowly start to apply pressure to the trigger. Do not jerk or else your shot will be off.
• Wait for the recoil. Follow your shot by watching either the vapor trail or where the bullet strikes the target. If the bullet lands low, adjust and aim higher. If it veers to the right, aim a bit further to the left. Zero in your rifle for the selected range.
