Flips or no flips notwithstanding (happens with catchy phrases of the magic-mirror-gazers' age), as you kno~ people can at times get desperate. And from this desperation coupled with poor judgement do these masterpieces come from. It's either this or Nyarlathotep beginning to fuck with humankind for real before the others rise to omnomnom us. Tough it looks more like Azathoth...

Thankfully, the torrent of garbage that were ballot-stuffed through the now-canceled Steam Community Greenlight program is slowing steadily, now that they're exercising some editorial control again.

At least some good Greenlight titles have and will yet surface, such as Skywanders later in the year. I've got pre-alpha access because I chipped into the Kickstarter, but I'm waiting for it to progress further before I dive in. we'll have to see; I feel like 60 crap games are added each day and they remove 3, it should be more like 120 removed to eventually get rid of the 6k + garbo games that have made it to steam so far and reverse the damage. There was a time when I was wishlisting everything I saw on steam, literally everything, now I spend the day marking everything as "not interested" and hoping I never have to see it ever again...

You're likely correct. Nevertheless, it's a phrase that is thrown around, usually to mean that it has less than the minimal essential features that you could really call it a game yet, probably what the software is even trying to be is still undecided, and likely the road map is very much up in the air.

Or it may just be a way of lowering expectations :)
