Description

I remember thinking this was cool when I watched my niece play. So that's kinda like playing it myself, I guess. Anyway, it's probably fun. Just ask your niece to play it for you...

Ok, so this isn't the "real" giveaway either, but it's probably ok for a consolation prize...

Good luck! :)

Oh, I haven't done this in a while. Enjoy(?) some free bundle leftover keys, with lazy anti-bot protection... :) I split the keys into three parts, just to be annoying.

These pieces are group "A", so combine them with the pieces of group "B" and group "C" to get your precious Steam keys like so: AAAAA-BBBBB-CCCCC.

p.s. No, it's not really worth the hassle. Maybe a few have trading cards, but it's all junk. Oh well.

p.p.s. Just to make sure you're doing it right, the first key is "H68TT-P8Q98-77W5Z". Oops, guess I spoiled that one. Sorry! :)

Thanks for the giveaways and the drops!
I checked the bottom six keys and took one from each of the two bottom sets and confirmed that the rest are dupes - thanks on behalf of the ninjas as well.
For the remaining sets I seem to own them all although I ran out of activation attempts before reaching the top 8 keys.

Don't worry about using too many keys, as you probably noticed it's all junk... :) Some have cards, but most of them probably won't even give a +1... :)

Good luck! :)

Hope you get some foil cards anyway... :) Don't think any of that stuff is worth installing... :)

I think I might have some difficulties getting my niece to play the game for me. A particularly troublesome obstacle is the fact that she is only 2 weeks old. Oh well, guess I'll just have to play the game myself eventually... if I ever run out of other games in the backlog. ^_^'

Anyway, thank you for the giveaway(s). :)

Hmm, yes I can see how that might make things difficult... Maybe you could ask her in ten years, although that might be enough time to make a dent in the backlog too... :)

Good luck! :)

Thanks for the giveaway. I tried two or three keys, but they were all dupes.

That's ok, small piles of keys don't last very long around here... :) It only requires one person to send the whole mess to their bot farm...

Good luck! :)

I remember finishing this one, when I was younger. I remember that I was really confused about the parkour concept and couldn't figure out it was expecting me to grab in certain situations. I also wish I had a niece...or anyone in particular to play games with me or for me. sigh

Well, to be honest it was several years ago, she has her own Steam account nowadays... :) Considering all the garbage that's found its way into my Steam library in the past few years I'm not sure I'd want to share those with anyone... :)

Oh, hey, did you look at the umm, the local co-op online sharing thingamabob? I read about it somewhere recently, haven't tried it myself... I kinda suck at co-op games anyway though, will probably forget it exists in a few months (just like Valve?) ... :)

Good luck in some other giveaway! :)

For a moment there I thought you meant Sven Co-op, I remember the name because of the horny sheep game, weird association, I know.

But now that I think more about it you might be referring to the new feature thingamabob for local-co-op=>online games on Steam, haven't tried that yet, but I am hopeful. I actually kinda started for a while now to sort my local games in a separate category for the moment I will have a RL person willing to play with me, I guess organizing them until now wasn't a complete waste with this new feature. I only hope it will work as intended thou.

Already own this games and can't figure out the last one. Tried a couple of things but neither worked, I'll come back later and try again.

Ahh, it's just a dumb puzzle, check the puzzle guide if you really need it, but if you found these, you shouldn't need it... :)

Good luck in the whatever it is! :)

This game was pretty fun. I actually liked ME Catalyst better, but the level design in this game was definitely much better.

And just when I think I've gotten a handle on your puzzles, you manage to throw me for a loop... :)

I had fun watching my niece play, except the gun parts I mean. :)

My second-hand impression was the gun stuff was intentionally crap, i.e. any time you had a gun you were doing it wrong. :)

If you found this, you can find the last bit. Just need to know what to look at... :)

Good luck somewhere or other! :)

I couldn't actually watch anyone play Mirror's Edge. Playing it myself is fine, since I'm in control, but watching someone else play a first-person game where the view shifts constantly and rapidly? That's a recipe for nausea right there.

They should have never included guns - that's one thing the sequel (reboot?) did right. I never once picked up a gun, and felt the game was better for it. It would have been even better if they toned down the guns for the AI too - even on the easiest difficulty the final missions devolve into everyone spraying you with bullets and a lot of repeating sections trying to not die.

I kind of think that the developers never wanted to include guns in the first place, but it was forced upon them by a manager / publisher who wasn't confident enough to release the game without shooting.

In the same way, Catalyst would have been a better game if they had not included combat - traversal tackdowns where you knock enemies down as you run and keep moving are great, but every time you had to fight enemies brought the game to a screeching halt and were tedious, repetitive, and just not fun. Every time one of the combat sequences came up, I breathed an exasperated sigh and wished for it to be over quickly. Again, I'm not sure if the publisher forced the game to include combat because they were afraid of making a game without it, or if the developers didn't feel confident enough in the game being fun just for the parkour, but the game would have been better without it.

Thank you fiftykyu. How old was your neice at the time?

I played a bit of this when it first came out and I don't think "Oh, my neice might like this!" was high in my thoughts at the time. :)

Oh, hmm, that's a good question! I have no idea. Ugh, I really have no idea. This is a job for arithmetic! I'll have to update this message when I remember how that works, sorry... :)

Good luck! :)

Ok, back with umm, a vague guess. :) I think 14 or 15? That's the ballpark anyway. :)

I've been wanting to introduce my three-year-old daughter to a few more games. So far she's only played the colouring game I won from your Ziggurat of Disappointment. :D

I'll have to spend some time sifting through my library to find some others she might like. I think Mirror's Edge may be a bit too much for her at this stage. :)
