You are very gracious and I appreciate it. I too have only part of the picture and was not aware that his lecture was being used in this manner - it is not discussed in the US media to my knowledge. Not understanding Ukrainian and Russian locks me out of a lot of information/opinion - even when it's translated it seems poorly done and is difficult to trust what I am hearing/reading. I'm now assuming that's where it got used - but I don't know.

I appreciate it. It's good to hear that there is some discussion - the thread had been getting very heated lately which was distressing. I am going to read it through tonight, but if I don't reply or respond to posts sometimes, it is because my health is not always good and I am just not up to it and not because I am being rude.
Where do you find out what people are saying and/or journalism coming out of Donbas? Not knowing the languages and living in a country whose journalists have no interest in this is very frustrating for me. I am far more interested in these people than in Russia/Putin's motivations (it's always a question of follow the money and influence with powerful states like Russia and my country too - believe me, I know - as for their justifications that's a different conversation and an interesting one also).
