Description

No longer a New York City cop, Max Payne moves to São Paulo to protect a wealthy family in an effort to finally escape his troubled past. Combining cutting edge shooting mechanics with a dark and twisted story, Max Payne 3 is a seamless, highly detailed, cinematic experience from Rockstar Games.

Good luck everyone!

Boa sorte a todos!

I've played this on Xbox, is the corruption portrayed in it fair with Brazilian reality?

Heyoh bro.

...My first question would be: Which country are you from ... ?

But does not matter . I believe que in most movies , games and other media the script never faithfully follows the reality . Yes , there is corruption in Brazil , unfortunately , just as there is in the other countries , but not as seen in the game . The game portrays the Brazil as a country without laws where money buys everything and everyone, and not how it is. There are many mistakes in the game. As a Brazilian I stayed up a little upset with some things . But I have in mind that the game was created based only on a superficial knowledge of what really is Brazil . The game writers committed many flaws in trying to portray this part of corruption , violence and other things like that , showing a very bad image of Brazil ... Finally , Max Payne 3 is a game .. That's it ! It does not contain any content the true reality of Brazil

Anyway Max Payne 3 is a good game ;)

I'm from El Salvador, a country where most politicians are corrupt and gang violence runs rampant each day... I've read some comments (I think there were user comments on Gamespot) that they thought they showed really well the corruption in the country so I was curious about your opinion.

Of course it shows the darkest parts of Brazil, I don't think that the people will have that image for Brazil as a whole, but I liked that they portrayed the somewhat cliché story of the footballer who grew in the slums and become a superstar, specially since Rockstar is an american company so they might know very little about football (or soccer as they arrogantly call it).

In the end I enjoyed MP3 a lot, and I think that Brazil, as pretty much EVERY SINGLE country in Latin America has good and bad people, corrupt governments, lovely touristic places full of nature, gangs, good music...

But as you said it's a game and they picked the elements they worked the most for them, they even depict the canal of Panamá quite different but they still ground it with the museum elements, so in the end it's like 70% fantasy and 30% reality :]
