As you know there were lately many threads about Snow Globes and predictions about card prices. Some of us (me too) were predicting that prices will fall to 0.03-0.05 euro… as you see we couldn't be more wrong. I think that main problem is that we didn't calculate important factor: servers being jammed. Probably that's why there is "panic" on market right now and the prices are slowly rising… many people are having hard time buying it cheap so they decide to go for cards with higher price…

But never mind this.

The really issue is: did you profit? Or did you lose? That's kinda funny battle of traders, sellers fighting with buyers.

As for me (we are talking only about Snow Globes)

I sold all in all 14 cards - > "earning" 2.27 euro -> average price per card 0.16 (after steam-tax)

Bought all in all 10 cards -> "paying" 1.30 euro -> average price per card 0.13

Outcome ->0.97 euro (It proves that I'm rather poor trader)

And from crafting 1 badge I got: :tcry: emoticon, Holiday Sale 2013 - Surgeon Simulator wallpaper and Portable Smissmas Spirit Dispenser (I dunno why but I can't even sell it)… so yeah it was gamble and I lost the game.

Can't say that I lost something… didn't spend single penny so it's not that bad…

And what about you? How much did you earn/lose? How many badges? What items? I'm especially curious about heavy spender .

Did craft badges in the beginning to get snow globes, sold them, bought cards, crafted badges, got snow globes and so one, did get half dragon age + binding of isaac out of it. Was more fun to get the money for it that way.
The last days, when the price dropped I kept the ones from the voting, because I had a feeling that they will rise in price in the last hours, dunno why, but I seem right...somwhow.
Let's see if I can sell the 7 last cards, or if Steam just want's to keep their servers shitty till 7pm CET.
Must have been a very profitable encore day. mwahaha
EDIT: HA! Sold 'em, 70ct more for...dunno but it's worth more than expired digital junk.

Why are people trying to sell these for 20+ cents? They should be trying to sell these as low as possible right now. There is around 7500 pages per card of listing over 20 cents. all 7500 pages of those cards will be trashed here in the next few minutes.

I did pretty good with my snow globe cards. first day or so sold them for 70 cents to a dollar each. early on I was also able to craft game badges and sell the globe cards for about what I spent to finish the badge. between the buying of cards and games and the selling of items during the sale my wallet is down by about $15, but once I leveled up to 30 so once I start getting more boosters and some of my pending items sell it'll help even things out.

I crafted all of them, they were free anyway. Now I'm finally Level 20, hooray \o/

But now the question is: what to do with the useless stuff that I got from crafting?
Throw it on the market now?
Hold on to it and then throw it on the market later?
Just keep it and let it collect dust?

For the time being I tend to option 3.

Time was 3 minutes ago now it is 57 minutes from now. Still 18k on average though I think that should be enough for them all to sell or at least for those that aren't putting the price sky high.

Oh for the love of...finished selling off all mine with 5 minutes to spare, if I'd held off I probably could have made more. Oh well, sold all ten and made a couple bucks off it, guess I can't complain.

I don't think the prices are rising. I think steam is removing all of the cards, starting off with the cheapest ones.
When I look at the cards in the market, it tells me they can't be used anymore.

I started with $0.00 and made around $23, mainly from buying and reselling. I thought the expiration was according to Pacific Time, Valve's location, so I bought ~$5 more worth to sell at a profit and they disappeared... :'( I was left with $17.79.

How many cards got removed? Like per snow globe type? When I last checked, like 3 hours ago, there were like 70,000 remaining of each card.
