As I have a multiscreen setup, I wanted something to tell me if I had e-mail while I was in-game and not able to see the taskbar. Most e-mail packages seemed a bit heavy on the precious gaming resources so (as I'm a Windows programmer anyway) I've been building this little tool for a few months to do the job. It's a simple Windows e-mail notifier - runs in the tray and consumes hardly anything in the way of cpu/memory/disk. It also has a nice simple floating window so I can stick it on my non-game monitor and see when e-mails come in. In case anyone else finds it useful, I'd welcome any (constructive :D) comments from fellow gamers. Cheers. emailwatcher

I normaly use my ipod for that, but it's still a pretty cool idea.

That's pretty cool, but my email usually only gets about 2-3 messages per day. Maybe if I was a business man it'd be more useful, but atm I don't really need it xD. Still nice though!

I never close my email client so I can just keep it on my 2nd screen if I'm waiting for a message. Plus I receive them on my phone & tablet too.

For someone with limited resources though, it's an useful app.

My FireFox has GMail Watcher, so I get a audio alert, even when in game, as long as I have my browser open. Then I just bring up the overlay browser and check it there.
