You're so close to being level 1 :P Just 1 more entry for one of those giveaways.
To get contributor value, you need to either make a public giveaway that has no region restrictions of any kind, and that gets at least 1 entry, or you need to get at least 5 entries for your giveaways.

The site has nearly a million users now.
Bot accounts that use automated methods to enter everything to sell off games elsewhere are a thing. Not a widespread thing but an at least five digits worth of thing.
The elitism is more rampant than in a social event at a country club.
Bundled games can be given away for 15% contributor value.
Said contributor value is now divided into levels, so no more $0.01 or $30.01 giveaways.
You can view your and the site's stats (well, some of it) now.
Region-locked giveaways exist now.
You can blacklist any user without any reason now. You can also whitelist people and hold whitelist-only giveaways.
The Deals section now mostly hosts threads about new bundles, most often with a chart for CV-grinding convenience.
Coincidentally, CV grinding/whoring is kind of a thing now.
There is an external site called SGTools.info that offers quick user check-up for rule-breakings and to have ridiculously overcomplicated additional giveaway rules not covered by the site natively.
The site is natively selling out through an affiliate program, so unless you modify it in user preferences, all Bundle Stars links posted here have a reflink attached to them that funnels back to SteamGifts. Other/personal reflinks are forbidden. Humble so far didn't want to accept SG into its similar system, even though probably that would be actually popular. (I sure as hell wouldn't mind it.)
People representing developers and dropping 100-10,000 keys is commonplace.

I don't know if the Trades section existed back in 2013, but just in case the Trades section was part of Steamgifts(which could be accessed with an SG account) then cg separated Steamgifts and the Trades section last year. Now Trades can be accessed with a Steam account instead.
Also, a handful of months ago this site gained more needed mods.

semi-separate. It was sepoarate website, but it was managed by some of SG staff (I remember jade doing a lod of moderation over ST as well as SG, also you could get suspended on both websites if you did something bad), with recent separation these are now totally separate entities, ST is no longer moderated (only community moderation of "unfair rep")and what you do on SG/ST no longer affect each other.

The McCoy gang rules this place with an iron fist, and sometimes they rough up honest folk just for the hell of it. But I heard we should be getting one of them train tracks leading to here soon - that might get the wrath of law on McCoys and who knows, we might be free of them.

Sure, but if the McCoys get run out, the Hatfields will finally be able to move on in- and, y'know, at least with the McCoys, things'll remain steady. With the Hatfields, they'll probably be wanting to throw more of those unpleasant New Year's parties of theirs. It's just, that seems like it'd turn out to be pretty messy business in the end.
Train tracks'd be nice, though- it'd be nice to finally upgrade our wagon trains to something more modern. At the very least, maybe we'll have fewer of those weird incidents of people dragging railway train wagons out here by horse, and then just leaving them in the woods to rust. Not that I'm complaining- those wagons bring in the tourism and new residents as well as anything else- but it always did feel like the process could be arranged a bit more favorably for those involved.

People post gifs in lieu of having anything interesting or cohesive to say, potatoes are in, cakedays are factory days, Steam Gift Tools is a good way of making your giveaway have custom rules.
You missed a Llama giving away random things like hug pillows, you missed hunger games events, you missed SimGive making the site go kaboom, you missed the cult of Barbie, you missed Konrad, you missed CV turn into Levels, you missed v1 go to v2.
Also EsE joined so its over 9,000 site improvement.

You missed a lot of things but be happy that you did; like for example the rampant SG trolls and the artificially created SG drama, by the truckload. :3

I had prepared a wall of text thoughtful comment, but since sarcasm is rarely (if ever) understood around here, I decided not to post it.
I'll just say this: trying to make sense of what's become of this site is a lost cause. I wouldn't leave my mark without making a pun :3
