Well, there's a glimmer of hope at least:
It's developed by Black Forest Games, who also did the more recent Giana Sisters games, so at least they know how to make a decent platformer.
Could be worse, could be a HD remaster of Bubsy 3D.

I don't get the joke. This looks surprisingly decent compared to 97% of the games that used to be released through Greenlight.

Bubsy, in its time, was a mediocre 16-bit platformer that was a few years outdated when it was released, but it still fit along with many other platformers. (Heck, the Mask's SNES adaptation still used this same formula in 1995.)

I had rented Bubsy 3D many years ago after having played the first 2 games on an emulator. I couldn't stand to play more than a few minutes. That short trailer looks so much better than Bubsy 3D, so there's hope that the new game will be at least decent.

Don't know who Bubsy is? You are better off for it. The early ones were mediocre, while Bubsy 3D was a trainwreck.
