Well if that's the dumbest thing you can consider yourself lucky.

If that's the dumbest thing you've done lately, gamble imaginary income on games you already had, you lead a very sheltered life. Kind of certain I can top most of the ones that will be in this thread off the bat.

It is the dumbest thing I've done lately. Not the dumbest thing ever though. Had I used my brain for once, I would have saved myself some time & points that I could have used for other giveaways. Oh well...

I broke my wrist a week ago. I'm an unluckier version of you.

Recently I put my point on a TW collection 160P to store for a later user, and then I forgot to take them back before the giveaway ends. lost 160P just like that. :(

Total War Collection is 160P, is there anything wrong with that? :S

The max is 150, I thought. 160 would be the sole exception to that if true. Don't know, I've never seen one active.

This one? http://store.steampowered.com/sub/18406/
It's 150p on SG.

tried to trade a key I won somewhere else without verifying it's validity first. Turned out to be fake go figure

No, actually it's a common fix for cold solder joints. It probably won't help you next time, though

Might work again with a little luck. But everytime you do it, the solder will become worse. Baking is more like a quick fix for broken hardware that would be thrown away otherwise

imho, a barbecued GPU with garlic dip tastes like heaven

Glad you learnt something and I hope that did not sound too rude. cheers!

How is that stupid? GPUs are nice and healthy meal.

confirmed for anyone reading, works like a boss. You have to wrap it with cling wrap multiple times (don't want moisture in, right?) but if your disc is skipping and skuttering and being all kinds of nasty, a deep freeze (seriously, 6+ hours to be safe) will probably get you through a backup of the whole thing or at the least a recovery effort (like... let's scan all the data, here's a few things we found kinda scan) for your crucial stuff.

Talk to some stupid person who clearly cannot understand simple words.

Nope, I have the conversation saved, quite funny.

It's not recent but I broke an $1500 HDTV about a year after we bought it. I swung a stick onto it and it crack the LED screen. The warranty just expired too so we couldn't get it fixed without paying another $1000. My parents threw it out and bought a new one. :(

They asked for the dumbest thing I've ever done. I think I took the cake here. =.= lolz

Doesn't matter if the warranty is expired. As far as I know there's no warranty that covers something like that... Only if you had your TV insured against breaking...

They told me I'll be working once I turn 18 and the first few paychecks I get will go to them to pay off the TV. :(

For the past 2 weeks I've been entering contests to win English Country Tune, Intrusion 2, Oil Rush and Tiny and Big Grandpa's Leftovers. Today, I logged in on my Humble account & guess what I already had?
Yup......I'm so stupid some times. :(
Anyone else ever do this?
