Thanks for skyrim 2! Thats was hard puzzle but solved it.

I have to say Q3A as it is the game I have played the most (and still playing) but Quake 2 was absolutely awesome.

SP: I'm not really sure, I haven't played through enough to pass fair judgement.
MP: Killing Floor. It's the only MP FPS that I've enjoyed enough to play for over 12 hours straight.

Love the oldies, Doom 2 and Quake 2 are still my favorites. Also go back to UT1 a lot for some reason.

Love the raw kill or be killed deathmatch back from the dwango days. Multiplayer has gotten a bit convoluted in FPS games lately... I don't want to capture a base or find a flag. I just wanna get a gun and blow fuckers up.

Battlefield 1942
followed very closely by TFC, Doom, Max Payne and CS.

In most modern FPS the solo mode is a dumbed down, auto-health generating, cover-and-potshot, instant save-and-load, QTE-ridden, thou-shalt-never-die and overly easy mess . As for multiplayer FPS, there were some enhancements to partly counter this (d)evolution with stuff such as destroyable terrain, squads, voip and coop play.

Quake 4, no doubt about it.

Best fps I have ever played for like 50 hours, fear 1. Followed very closely by half life series and cs 1.6.

SP: HL2 and Bioshock

MP: Quake 3 Arena

I'm an FPS fanboi, so I have a lot ^^ CoDs, NOLFs, HLs, RtCW, MoHs, etc... :P

Half Life 2 + Episodes

half life deus ex and team fortress classic and 2 and tribes 1-ascend

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series + Half Life series + Bioshock 1 for singleplayer, for reasons I don't have to point out.

For Multiplayer, Battlefield series + Garry's Mod (which I could include in singleplayer too) + Borderlands (Coop = so much fun).

For me, it's a toss-up between Team Fortress 2 (before it became "Hat Fortress 2") and Battlefield: Bad Company 2.
