FFX for me, The storyline was awesome, the graphics even by today's standards are smooth. The characters were well fleshed out and made you like them very much. The Sphere grid was an awesome leveling system and let you grind every char to have everything. Was an emotional roller coaster for me and I loved every second of it.

I haven't beaten IX yet, but I've played all the others (excluding XIII and the spin-offs) and I would have to say that IX is my favourite so far. I like the characters and the world and the story (I'm barely into disc 2, mind you) is quite good.

1 is the best, but 13 has the best story

I would go with FF 10, hands down!

Stated earlier, but..... FF2/4 (SNES version) and FF3/6 are in a virtual tie for me, with 3/6 having the ever so slight edge based upon possibly the best villain of all time. But if you count Tactics? FFT is my favorite game of all time, and has been for many years. The best SRPG ever made, IMHO, and a brilliant fucking achievement. Even with bad translation.

For me its VII and IX. Probably the greates games i've ever played in my life. I liked VIII and XIII too.

VII FTW!

Final Fantasy VI will always be my absolute favourite, but it's being nipped at the heels by Final Fantasy VIII and X. Those three have, hands down, the best stories, characters, music and combat systems throughout the series. Amazing games.

I like FF IV, and their spin-off on Wii.
