Got my current laptop from xotic pc, no sales tax. Great place to buy from.
My current laptop is ASUS G73JH, came with the backpack and 1800 dpi mouse also. Take a look at the ASUS gaming laptops, good value for the hardware, but a bit clunky. The newer models of my laptop seem good.

What do you want to do with it? Just gaming? What games?
When do you need it?
How much do you want to spend?
Do you care how big it is? How hot it is?

It sounds like you value portability quit a bit.
I would look into the Razer Blade 14.
It's basically a Macbook Pro that runs Windows and can natively play nearly any game you throw at it.
You'll find cheaper laptops at the same performance level or more performant laptops at the same price level, but they will be hot, heavy and cheap feeling.

Alienware, because as we all know Alienware invented laptops, as well as video games, as well as Aliens. You can usually get a fair priced one for under $10,000

nah, they are great laptops, just vastly overpriced for the parts used. I just had to because of the "plays best on alienware" thing.

I have a Lenovo 510p with GeForce GT 750m SLI and it is amazing. I got it for barely over $1,100 on Amazon.
The only complaints I have is the horrible trackpad (but I use a small mouse anyways), and the volume/brightness keys are controlled by the Fn key (but I used Auto Hotkey to remedy that).

I like The Wirecutter (http://thewirecutter.com/reviews/best-gaming-laptop/) for places that do some research in their recommendations. Give that a look and go from there.

Any opinions, suggestions or experiences that you would like to share?
-EDIT-
I also think that a desktop is a better investment, but I kinda move a lot, and I need portability
I'd like to play any game from Fortix to Battlefield 4 without using the long end of graphics.
Planning to spend less than $2,000
