Took me 31:17 I am not that quick either hahaha I start quite well but slowed down on the darker parts. I really do not understand how others get less half of the timing. Maybe they have a better monitor so the see the color differential better. hahaha I just can't figure out the difference until I find a crucial piece and pieces starts linking together. Thank you for the fun. :)

I do not believe that was the intention. Different people has different methods of solving. It took me 31:17 and if you check the poster's reply to my comment above it took them a little longer. Perhaps you would like to share your methods? I've always been figuring how seasoned jigidi players manages to half or more than half my timing most of the time. I play plenty of puzzle games on PC but I just can't seem to be as fast. Cheers~

Thank you for your detailed reply. I am quite new to the zooming as pieces get smaller, that is not an excuse but something I have to get used to. I did what you said by making space but I am not as detailed in sorting rather putting my eyes to strain with color differential its bad for the eyes and it gets tiring. I need to get better with recognizing and organizing the shapes.

I do start to piece up the border pieces once I found them on jigidi but not always in the puzzles games I have played. Guess I was being complacent too, I play in a much relax mode and not really challenging myself to shorten the time. Hand-eye coordination does play a part too sometimes I needed 2-3 clicks to shift a piece to the side so I have space to arrange more pieces. If I am able to place the pieces together from the start, the time taken to reorganize certainly will cut the time.

Our discussion may seem to be about some competitive gameplay but I do enjoy our tiny exchange of pointers. Hopefully, I can improve my times on other puzzles and enjoy them too. Thank you once again and have a great weekend :D

I have a pretty bad case short-sightedness after destroying my sight from young watching television too closely and years of using the computer(in the dark) to this day. I started trying to clear the puzzle games I purchased a while ago on steam and in those games zooming isn't much of an option like jigidi and much more restricted. I have to strain my eyes and almost plant my face into the monitor for puzzles with 350 pieces with unique edges unlike traditional jigsaws like in jigidi for eg. if the puzzle theme is space then the edges are space related like a rocket or astronaut.

My eyes were "burnt" and I took weeks/months to recover from the strain before I finish the rest of the puzzle games. To add to the difficulty of the games, you can add in rotations so the piece might be rotated 180 or to 360 degrees. It was a fun experience however after the strain, I took things easy and took out the rotation so I can finish the puzzles yet enjoy them at the same time. :D

Today, I tried to sort better with a 88 piece jigidi. Hand and eye coordination does matter as I keep rearranging pieces after I had placed them down. Practice will help but its not important, mainly just to have fun. Overall the pointers you mentioned I felt does help cut short the timing. Just remembering our discussion so I want to Thank you for sharing again. Cheers, Cruse :D

Thank you for your screenshots and effort. Yes, I've been doing that, still needs the practice occasionally when playing jigidi. I'll say I have improve, I am still guilty of not arranging and piecing them up in clusters. The timing certainly improved. When I was playing puzzle games on steam which is more restricted with not much sorting space around the puzzle board but an allocated space to place my pieces so that allocation/placement of pieces will have to improve. Thank you once again, :D

Joining late on the conversation. Thanks Awax for sharing your method with examples. Really nice. I've always been amazed how fast you solve those.
It's funny because I actually have a similar method, except 1. I try to finish the whole frame first, 2. I probably don't have as much screen real estate as you do

Anyway, I rarely rush, this is not how I enjoy those puzzles, I usually have a video running on the side or something.
Anyway, during the course of me solving the jigidi, I will be disturbed many times (especially by my daughter hehe) so that's why I don't aim for speed.

This is what I like about those puzzles is you can play the way you want.
