Is binding of isaac really hard to beat or am i just bad at it?

Many off my friends have like 60 - 80 hours in the game.

I finished the game for the first time after 20 hours in, it's hard. Try to explore every room and get as many stuff as possible for bosses, if you get bad items in the first level start over again, try to be prepared.

I think I got my first mom kill at 10 hours or so. Once you get good though, it's not that bad

Its quite hard, you'll die at first a lot. Also, it depends on your luck and what items you get on each run.

game is easy. beat it in 15 min. you suck at life.

you need to get some skill, so continue playing. it will become a bit easier not to die at once.

It's hardest the first couple of times. Soon after, you'll find that Mom and the heart are quite easy to get to and beat.

4 hours? You think it's supposed to be that short? It isn't. It's not hard. It just takes a lot of attempts.

Its definitely entertaining =P and not easy

It's a mixture of skill and luck. You can easily kill bosses and enemies with almost no items, but getting lucky and obtaining a few great items can make worlds of difference.

It's got a large learning curve. Once you start learning the bosses, monsters and items things tend to get easier. The game is extremely hard though mainly due to it's design being based in roguelike roots. Don't expect to win every game.
EDIT: I've got about 80 hours and I've almost 100% the game (mostly haven't finished due to laziness). I'm informed the average is actually much higher than this though [for 100%].

The more you play the easier it gets. Not only because you figure out how the monsters move and attack, but you unlock some pretty godly items too.

I've 39 hours clocked and still haven't killed Mom.

I'm 21 hours in and STILL haven't even beaten mom once.

Its difficult

I have almost 80 hours.

After 7 hours i beat my first mom, yay! Now lets hunt 100% achievments.

4 hours is nothing. I got my first Mom win after 10. I haven't played much more after that, but I would love to pick it up again when I have nothing to do. So much more to find and play.

Although you get more stuff as the more you play, the game's difficulty seems to increase the more you beat Mom :[
