I'm trying to figure out which is uppercase and which is lowercase.

UL=["XXXXX","xxxxx"];s="";for(i=0;i<32;i++){s+="<a href='https://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/";for(j=0;j<5;j++)s+=UL[(i>>j)&1][j];s+="/'>"+i+"</a> ";}document.body.innerHTML=s;, and click through them. But they won't work, there's something else.

There are 32 possibilities, and none of them seemed to work for me with the 5 letters I found. I suppose it wasn't meant to be.

I think there is only 1 letter that could be a different letter and I don't see how that could be the last letter unless you go backwards from bottom to top. I have tried all kinds of different variations and nothing works. The GA still has 0 entries. I feel like this is one of those situations where the puzzle looks solvable to you because you created it and know what to do, but to everyone else it is illogical.
If we don't know the order of the letters or whether they are uppercase or lowercase, there are way too many combinations to even try and brute force it.

Thanks for giving us more info, but I am still having trouble. I just tried 18 new combinations and none of them worked.

I tried another 12 or 14 combinations with this info, but still getting nowhere. It's getting to the point where I feel like we are being trolled. There's confusing info that I'm not sure how to process.
We need to go "backwards to top". I'm guessing this means we need to go from right to left on each line and go through the lines from the bottom to top, but I'm not sure if this is correct.
You accidentally swapped the third and fourth letters. I don't know if this means that we need to swap the 3rd and 4th in the text we are reading before we get the code or do we go backwards to get the code and then swap the 3rd and 4th?
I tried interpreting this info in all ways I can think of, but nothing is working.

The puzzle was a great thought, certainly appreciate the attempt! Only a learning opportunity for the next time to be better, thank you! :)

It's not a big deal, I hope you don't think I was upset. You definitely shouldn't give up on creating puzzles just because of this one. The community here loves to solve puzzles, even if they aren't perfect :)
It's fixable if you want to keep the puzzle. You could just move some lines around and pick different letters.

I'd advise checking if you could get a 32GB or even a 64GB kit for a bit cheaper 2nd hand, since the prices of new DDR5 ram kits are through the roof right now because of the AI boom. Facebook marketplace around my area has loads that are at least a bit cheaper, but maybe you could find a steal!

Definitely. My last desktop computer was an intel core i7-2600, 1x8 and 1x4 GB ram and Geforce GTX 1050 Ti.
My notebook is not much better. I5-10300H, 8gb ram, GTX 1650 Ti
So yeah. I think it's worth it.
No, I didn't checked, but I think it's not too much hard to solve it. Free things don't get easily.

Congrats on you new PC!!!
Those are real "tech jumps" for me. First games in the new one feels so powerful.
I have been there, making big jumps from PC to PC with a big difference between techs.
The last "2 ones times" were in less than 3 years between one upgrade and the next one. And doesn't feel the same (even if I ended playing indies that I can play with my old 2016 PC just fine, but in new games with hight requirements, one notice the difference and feels great)
Ok, I'm lost with the code, will be back later with a fresh mind.
Btw. Sorry for my basic english

Definitely worth it. I should have upgraded a year ago, before prizes went crazy

Man, I've been meaning to build myself a nice rig for years. I finally started looking into things... in January 2020.
Let's just say my timing was off by quite a bit.
Then the crypto bubble burst and now it's the damn AI bubble.
I'll never get to build my PC outside of PC Builder Sim. 🤣

I am feeling your pain. We should have jumped when we had the chance. It has been twice already also for me

I've got not a clue about what's going on here, but congrats on the computer, I wish I had one.

A pc is only as worth and good as how quick game developing progression goes (not fast) or until something breaks down.
In the 90's you had to keep up every time, with ram, cga/ega/vga, soundblaster, megabyte/gigabyte/terrabyte drives, printers, cd/dvd rom etc etc.

Mobo is good.
Ram, i'm not a huge fan of adata. But considering the current market, guess we can't be picky. It's still a decent option.
PSU is great.
CPU is great.
Liquid Cooler i don't care honestly and not really my thing as i prefer air cooling. So consider this as no feedback.
Case looks nice, haven't explored the specifications though. So it has the looks at least.
SSD is meh... This might be the worst component you bought.
GPU is meh... This might be the worst component you bought. (After writting all that stuff that comes after this, i would consider the GPU the worst element in your build)
So considering what i said here, SSD should be fine, it just isn't peak performance. I don't think it will matter much unless next gen games work like PS5 games, where SSD technology is important. Kingston is known for having SSDs that struggle to maintain performance in the long run when you are using them constantly. On top of that, durability is also not their best suit, so life expectancy is shorter than other similar components from other brands, such as WD, which is usually the goat for affordable pricing/performance/durability.
GPU, it offers decent performance, but this is the typical 8GB upgrade issue i see occuring when people make builds, specially when people go with Nvidia. 8gb and future proofing make no sense, unless you are planning to play indie games only. 8GB is bare minimum currently, and some games already suffer performance issues due to limited VRAM, which is why 10gb or 12GB is recommended. For future proofing, you would want 16GB or 20GB. All depends on what performance tier you go for. The GPUs i would recommended currently that could be somewhere around the same price point or a bit higher (250-450€):
New = 9060XT 16gb / 5060 ti 16gb
Previous generation and possibly used = 7800XT / 4060 ti 16gb
Even older and 100% used = 6800 / 6800XT (6900 XT / 6950 XT / 3090 / 3090 ti if you can find a decent price for any of these, i saw a 6950XT for 500€ once like a year ago from a spanish store online, the GPU was out of stock and not being produced anymore, i was thinking on buying it but ended up ignoring it).
Any of these cards should keep up with next generation consoles, not on a 1:1 basis but all of them should offer performance relatively close to what a PS6 could potentially offer. I think PS6 will define the standard in terms of specs for next generation games, i believe Sony is not seeking for a significant performance leap but more so an affordable system. But considering the current market with RAM, if this continues the same trend for years, then Sony will have to change the specs on their system and potentially even delay the system because the price point will be much higher as RAM is too expensive right now. There is also the factor about a playstation handheld being the playstation 6 (or both existing as playstation 6), a handheld being a weaker system, games will have to be adapted to that hardware.

For that price, you wouldn't be able to assemble half of your PC in my country, it was totally worth it.

Hello!
"Hello! Congratulations on the new machine, I hope it will serve you well, considering the RAM prices you got it pretty well. Let's say in my case 32GB wouldn't be enough, but I don't use the machine only for Gaming! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!"

Awesome build, might have been a good idea to get the 9600x for like 10$ more with vastly better performance and power efficiency.
Other then that looks pretty solid, enjoy!

unfortunately the ssd is a QLC, you can find a tier list

I would try to get a 5060 Ti if it doesn't cost much more: https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-RTX-5060-Ti-vs-Nvidia-RTX-3070-Ti/4183vs4116
I see that you get a used 3070 Ti so if it is a lot cheaper then I guess it is not a bad deal, but the 5060 Ti is more future proof. You could also check a Radeon card with more RAM in the same price range.

It'll be worth it. And it seems like really decent hardware. The issue nowadays is more of durability since games are getting crazy faster and the "AI" bubble is making upgrading pricier. But I'm sure you'll get years of great bombastic fun out of it before you have to worry about all that.
Congrats!

Congratz specs are decent. When i was in school 2013 i had core 2 duo 2gb ram with 1gb card and wanted to buy a good pc to play latest games, but now i am stuck with i7 12gb ram and 4 gb gpu. I got very little time to play games and it all got suck by esport title like cs2. Life is funny, i got money to buy pc but very little time(mostly weekends)to play games. Just sharing my story :)

Looks good. The ram latency of CL36 is kind of high (DDR5 6000 CL30 is generally what's recommended), but considering how crazy ram prices have become I'd say it's still a win overall. :)

Price wise that's really good for what you got. Nice job!!! Might have to bump graphics down if you like higher frames when playing anything super new but solid build for most games on the market.

Hello people! So I decided to build an new gaming computer, because my notebook being older and older and I can't play newer games which I really wanted. Meantime when RAM prices and EVERYTHING going higher and higher but I was lucky. :)
So here is the final config:
Motherboard : MSI MAG B650 TOMAHAWK WIFI
RAM: ADATA XPG 32GB KIT DDR5 6000MT/s CL 36 Lancer Blade Black
PSU: ASUS ROG Strix Gold Aura Edition 750W (ROG-STRIX-750G)
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600X
CPU cooler: Arctic Liquid Freezer III Pro 240
Case: DeepCool CG530 Tempered Glass Black
SSD: 1TB Kingston SSD M.2 NVMe NV3 (SNV3S/1000G)
GPU: EVGA GeForce RTX 3070Ti FTW3 ULTRA GAMING
It was 430.000 HUF... it's 1124,36 EUR. I guess it will be no problem with newer games for a while.
The question is.. is it worth it? I guess it's worth, I couldn't wait.
So thanks for reading! :)
