Thoughts on Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City Sale..

I heard it's a horrible game. Buy it if you want, but don't expect to enjoy it :)

This might upset some hoarding traders.

I couldn't stand 20 minutes of it.

Worst port, worst story, worst RE game ever.

I'm a bit of a Resident Evil fan (yes, despite the horrible writing and cheesy dialogue), and after watching some gameplay footage of it, I didn't want to purchase it.

Seriously, look up some lets plays and you'll find it's just a generic shooting gallery with what amounts to a Resident Evil theme slipped over the top. I would wait for the steam christmas sales and hope it drops further. Or you could just buy it to sate your curiosity, knowing it's probably going to be terrible. Just make sure to write a negative review in Metacritic to help ward off other people when you're done :P

after the re5 i thought why dont we play as the umbrella corp. then this game announced,it doubled my opinion and used racoon city.this game would be really good.but no it become worst tps.this could really kill the franchise forever but the p.w andersons movies and re6(except leon and ada campaing) are already killing it.the price is good but the time on you spend on it will be total pain.

I bought it recently and have beaten it earlier this month. While not a great game, it was still a decent playthrough. Check out the review I did for it.

It's a GFWL game - it's unknown if Capcom are going to patch it out of any of their games. Green Man Gaming must be clearing inventory.

Its actually a good game. I really do not know why people have panned it to be honest. I have enjoyed it quite a bit. Wished more people played it online as the MP can be fun.

Though if your comp laggs, or your internet laggs, expect some glitches. The game oddly gets glitchy when there is lagg. I remember ( pre-patch ) on the console version someone falling out of the map when he lagged lol.

Though so far in the PC version I noticed some of those glitches are fixed. Or so it seems at least.

The only problem I have with the game is GFWL. Though with that ending soon, the game might get patched to not have to bother with it. Considering GFWL seems like something that was just tacked on and not something you HAVE to sign into to play. ( You can navigate menus before GFWL attempts to log you in if GFWL takes its time. )

Also, sheesh at the price it is I would say get it. Cheapest I have seen it and I think it is worth more than that. My opinion though.. ( Easily more hours per dollar of gameplay lol.. easily )

Find it funny that some people have admitted they have not played it yet claim its not good, or not worth the price... what a joke. Its funny that I like RE ORC yet I HATED RE5. ( Disliked RE4 due to them deciding to re-write their own storyline in it. Liked the new combat system though ) Have not played RE6 so I can not say anything about it. Loved all of the numbered games before 4 though, also liked playing Outbreak file 1&2.

Not good. As a long time RE fan I played it and decided not to buy it until I could get it cheap. I got the PS3 version in a clearance sale and still haven't played it. For that price I would probably buy it though.

Weak sale

Controls that aren't responsive, bad game mechanics, subpar plot, and a general kick to the crotch for every RE fan out there. Not worth that much. Maybe if you can get it with all of the DLC for five USD then it MIGHT be worth it. Even then, it's questionable.

It's not bad, but it's not that great either. It did have a Resident Evil vibe going on, but the gunplay was weak, and the story was garbage.
