It was payday yesterday and I started buying a couple of TF2 keys with paypal. After buying a some from a guy I almost always buy keys from, a friend asked if I could buy all the keys that he got from his friend (who gave up on playing TF2 since the community in his country is almost dead). So now I'm stuck with a little too many keys than planned, and a slowly dwindling bank account.

I've posted a couple of "ads" on Steamtrades and on Reddit, but there haven't been much offers so far. Do you guys know any other sites where I can post? I'm also trying to avoid phishing bots as well, so sites like tf2-outpost are out of the question.

PS. I was going to sneak in a keydrop, but turns out I've already given away the last unwanted bundle key. :/

Put a post on ST, trust me you'll get a ton of offers :P

Make it a requirement to comment on your thread before adding you though, and only trade with those with a decent amount of positve rep, and no negative.

You'll probably get a lot of adds from people with no rep though, I know I did when I sold off my keys.

I did actually post, but there haven't been much so far. My prices are probably a bit steep for them lol

Should be easy enough to sell for $1.90-$1.95

I am selling for that much actually, with a discount if bought all together. Maybe I'm just bumping the post in the wrong times of the day :D

Try not to click on all the links a level 0 account sends you and you should be fine.

I know it's tempting, just try to resist the urge :P

Yeah, I do always check if the URLs are spelled correctly, plus I have steam guard activated. I just get a bit annoyed with the many friend requests that come almost instantly after posting haha

did you know this friend from real life?
as I read your tale my first impression was someone scammed those keys or something he sold then for those keys and wanted to get rid of them asap.
You know normal tf2player don't have huge amounts of keys since they don't drop ingame and can only be aquirred in mann co shop with real money or from community market.
If I were you I wouldnt have touched those keys, the whole story sounds a little bit fishy.

sourceop forum is the best place to trade large amount of keys in bulks but the people over there most of the time require some +reps and dont want to do business with people without reputation.

As for steamtrades, it's good enough, too. Propably your prices aren't right, just check the price other people are selling for, to see how much you can ask for.

Yeah, fortunately I know both of them IRL. I don't think there would be anything fishy haha

another thing you could try is selling the keys on the market then offer steam wallet for paypal

like you buy games/items for people and they paypal you back; but obviously at a discount (usually around 10-15%--although I havent traded in a while)

TBH it would be much better to do that during major sales, but I'll look into it if there would be a slightly bigger sale this upcoming weekend

It's actually better to do it off sale. During sales, everyone's busy undercutting so that they can sell games on demand. The result is lower key pricing and less wallet for you. The prudent will profit.

Keeping them to trade during a sale might be a good idea, but keeping them to sell on the market isn't. They've beengoing for $2.19-$2.20 each (after fees) on the market over the last week, while during the sales prices can drop to under $1.90 each.
