Like that I think some people will take advantage on this.
Now with just email to him and get key. Some people that never bought this game before will try their luck.
I don't think the developer got time to check all the purchase proof.
Simply got email request key, he/she may issue a new key for requester.

The developer deleted the threads at steamcommunity.com that were retated to the problem.

What I find amazing is that some of you think this is all fine just because you got your keys back. Your meek attitude is the main reason why these mass revocations keep happening. You don't get to steal goods from someone and then return those goods later and everything is fine. That's just not how things work. You are free to try it anytime and then post back from jail (after you tell the judge that we are all human and make mistakes and give him the peace sign).

I am not a such infamous man. I've thought that everyone has already played and finished this game. Because the keys were given a long time ago. But I was wrong

as you might see, there's a party going on!

There's an old phrase I think is appropriate here, "Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity."

the guy was stupid 24 hours ago, TappingTheLine. not anymore, cause fraudster, now, sounds more adequate.

Did the dev send you the key by email?

Because I wrote him last night (14 hours ago) and i didn't receive a response yet. I've attached a screenshot of my profile with the account alert.

Just write one again, maybe it slipped thru the cracks. I would assume he gets hundreds of emails now, replying to every single one of them is a pretty huge task for a single person.

That's good, maybe he overlooked it or deleted the first mail by accident.

happy to hear that, and for the other ones who had these issues just follow doomofdoom's advice, most likely the guy is receiving tons of mails these days ^^

Dev really is replacing keys at a speedy clip. However, it is high time that Steam owned up and stopped allowing this to happen without a demonstration from the dev of a legal basis for the process BEFORE the revocation.

Indeed, it's shameful that this can become the customer's problem in any way. We shouldn't have to do deal with this kind of thing ever.

I just got the last of the two replacement valid keys for the two games I bought, one from otaku and one from fanatical, the dev answered within a few hours at least.. obviously, LinustheBold and Cim have a great point on saying that this became the customer's problem and Valve let everything happen so that we, customers, had to deal with such a mass revocation issue..

Here is the thing ,Valve doesnt earn anyhting from keyselling.

tbh, the entire video is more or less "a stretch" based on a few unconnected posts by developer on steam, but you know, clicks.

Just got back from a 1 week vacation, saw this got revoked from my account. I think this is the first time I've ever had a game revoked from my library like this. Though I had actually already removed the game from my library before since I didn't like it very much :p

The developer just sent me a replacement key, I didn't think he was going to because he asked me where the key was bought from and I didn't buy it since I won it here, I had no answer for him.
