Hello everyone!, today is my happiest day ever probably, before 3 years i wanted Gaming PC, i have a laptop i bought 5 years ago.
I was going to buy this pc two months before, but there were some problems between USA and Turkey, and USD became much higher than before, so everything got more expensive especially tech stuff. Today in a few hours i will buy my first gaming PC!

I don't know why i am posting this but i am so happy and i didn't know where to share my happiness, i will do a giveaway if nothing goes wrong (and if i had any money left) -- Sorry for wasting your time, wish me luck guys.

Specs:
EDIT: i got those specs instead of the old one:

  • ASUS GTX 1060 6GB GDDR5
  • Asus Prime 360-K motherboard
  • AOC 24' G2460VQ6 1ms 75hz
  • Corsair Carbide Series Champ/SPEC-04 80PLUS 600W
  • Crucial 16GB (2x8GB) Ballistix Sports DDR4 2666Mhz

I was going to ask why an i5 and not a Ryzen, but what the hell, who cares. Enjoy your new computer. I was extremely happy when i finally could afford a new gaming computer.

I found that intel is better than Ryzen in games, not that better and i prefer Intel to be honest, also it's cheaper than Ryzne. Thanks a lot!

just want to say to you one thing...... don't buy a300$ box just because have some little beautifull lights, buy one that have good refigeration even if it cost 1$ and it's the ugliest thing ever.

skin don't do nothing in a PC, what matters it's the inside, spend on there

I know the feeling man. I built my first gaming pc a week ago and I'm so happy with the performance. I couldn't afford a GPU so I went with Ryzen 3 2200g and I can get 30+ fps at 1080p high settings. I don't know why people say 30 fps is unplayable, its so smooth for me.

Anyway Congrats on your build. Happy gaming :)

Thank you so much!, it's based on the game, and if it's 30 with no drops it's playable for sure.

GL with it, but i'd recommend 16gb of ram...8 will get you by for a while, but you're gonna want 16...

+1

I've been running 16gb for years, and I've gotten close to maxing it a few times. Even my stepfather bought a new laptop for $300 a year ago with 16gb of ram in it. 8gb just doesn't seem like much these days.

Wow, awesome! That's very nice exam score too! :)

I really think having a graphics card in your machine is one of the best decisions! I had to live without graphics card for a few weeks -- let me say it is a very sad experience.

I am planning to get a new gaming laptop and this is the computer that i am planning to get .

Stuck between :

  1. MSI GE73VR Raider-067

    • i7 7700HQ (2.8 - 3.8 GHz)
    • NVIDIA GeForce GTX1060 6G GDDR5
    • 16GB (16G*1) DDR4 2400MHz
    • 120Hz 5ms 94% NTSC
  2. Acer Predator Helios 300

    • i7-8750H 6-Core Processor (Up to 4.1GHz)
    • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 Overclockable Graphics with 6 GB of dedicated GDDR5 VRAM
    • 16GB DDR4 2666MHz
    • 144Hz Refresh Rate, 300nit Brightness & 72% NTSC
  3. Strix Hero II GL504GM

    • i7-8750H Processor 2.2 GHz (9M Cache, up to 3.9 GHz)
    • NVIDIA GeForce GTX1060
    • 16GB DRAM DDR4 2666
    • 144Hz 3ms Response sRGB:100%

The MSI i heard for this brand is that the support sucks and the hinge break easily, the performance is not that great as compared to the other 2,
whereas the helios tend to overheat and throttle a lot, not only that the screen color is not that great.

As for the last one, is there any issue?

Which laptop is better?

I'd go for the Strix.
I don't trust the quality control of Acer or MSI.

May I ask why you are going for Taiwanese Brands? MSI, Acer, Asus. MSI seems to have the least specs, CPU, RAM and Monitor, Acer; I do not like my system to be overclocked especially a laptop as it might get hotter and die out faster. On paper Asus seems the best bet.
Cheers, Cruse~

Go for the Strix. Acer uses shitty build quality and the MSI has a slower CPU.

Congrats! A few days ago I went down to a local computer fair to check prices. If you can, you'll probably wait till Sep 20 for the release of RTX to bring a little price drop. I am sad that the change here is probably be $50 only due to shipping costs and all. Also 16 GB is the minimal for gaming PCs. Seems like a good response time on the Monitor.
Best wishes, Cruse~
