Dilemma between making private/public giveaways

I used to do mostly public giveaways. But recently, from all the automatic entries bots and rule-breakers, I've started switching to private train and group gibs. Besides, I feel like most of my wins are from private and group giveaways, so imo, it's just fair that I give back to the same community that I receive from.
So my question is what are the reasons that you do public giveaways? (I look forward to hearing ur opinions cause depending on the outcome of this discussion, I intend to do either a public or private train soon.)

And 1 more thing, has Maria the Witch been free before? I cannot create giveaway for the game.

Edit: Some people mentioned about balancing between public and private giveaways. If you do that then what would be the ratio that you consider it to be balanced?

Edit 2: After reading all your comments, I have to say that I still prefer doing private train or public high levels gibs (3, 4+). However, I agree that public giveaways still play a main part and make Steamgifts the site it is today. So I like the idea of balancing between both public/private gibs (maybe less desirable games to public, at least to introduce new users to the site.) A hybrid public/private train is coming soooon. Thanks all for your thoughts on this matter!!

I like making public giveaways 'cause I think it's the core of this site, without public giveaways Sg wouldn't have ever grown plus they are the first thing a new user would see and that he/she will enter. I do agree that there are a lot of rulebreakers (and that annoys me quite a lot) but still I try to create public giveaways when I can, most of the time without level restrictions but of course the games I'll use will be of lower value. ^^

I do mostly public ga's. Most are level 4 or above. Some are level 2 or 3 depending on the game. A handful are level 1 and I never do level 0.
I also see the ga's I make for level 1-3 as a chance to catch some rule breakers, report and blacklist them. ^^
Almost all games I won are public ga's so most of mine are public too. A did very few wl and group ga's, compared to the total of games I gave [It's a recent thing since I wasn't part of any private groups until couple of months ago].

Public GA: Deal with bots and rule-breakers.
Private/Forum GA: Deal with people. Might get in a few BL because of.......reasons.
