Custom missions online are a lot of fun. Nothing more fun than engaging in a high speed pursuit using a tank.

I have cold war assault, but I cant go through graphic. I know, I shouldnt look through graphic. Anyone have something to convince me?

Well I don't care much for graphics, they are even quite funny in cold war assault, but I don't like the gameplay. Anyone can convinve me how it is cool? In first missions you just follow your leader, stay low and shoot in distance if you see something moving.

In the campaign? Keep playing, you'll get an idea of what's going on pretty soon. There's a turning point of sorts where either the game 'clicks', or you run away screaming :)
Or just load up the editor and mess around. Or download a user made mission, there's tons of them. Or find people for multiplayer, there's probably someone playing it now that it's free.

Awesome game. Spent 1000+h mesing in the mission editor with the addons and creating missions, never did play online (no internet at the time) Still have the GOTY version.
Q: Can I activate the GOTY version on steam and do you get the Red Hammer expansion. Cold War Assault doesn't have it since it was developed by codemasters not BI.

I don't think you can activate it on steam, but you can get CWA using the OPF key.
The Red Hammer campaign isn't included (owned by codemasters), but I don't think any assets are missing, it's just the campaign missions that are deleted.
