I think the large naked yellow character that can be seen below the goat from goat simulator on the right is the Yellow Fighter from Nidhogg 2 (with all the naked customization options, so no hair or clothes), will openly admit I could be wrong on this one but the proportions and eyes look spot on to me

i recognized several (paradigm (from paradigm)--upper right, the journey down guy --bottom right, the hollow night guy --lower left), but as these are already in the "guessed characters" list, it's up to you if I enter or not.
On the Bottom right is the square-sh/flattish robot from Phoning Home?
on the left, 3/4 of the way down, is the character (i forget the name) from Uncertain, the Last Quiet Day)
I really liked this, as it calls to mind the Usborne Great Searches Puzzle Books that i loved as a kid--thank you.

I guessed several of them on first glance, and I found a few others later on, but all have been guessed.
Many animal characters/ anthropomorphic, alien looking characters I find familiar (like I saw them before) but I cant quite place them or remember the name of the game. :/ I'll let someone else have a shot at them until I find them. I hope someone posts the whole list with characters or the creator themselves does it.
For now I'll go for the ahem Ruler of Hell (ykwIm) from Afterparty

In honor of the Steam Summer Sale, I decided to do a nice little contest. I found out a game dev had been working on an art piece of game characters and just released it.

Contest Rules:
1) To enter, name ONE character from the image (game and exact name if you know it)
2) First one to answer counts (To check if your answer was given before please use the search function)
3) Be as specific as you can (for example if there was a Mario character, don't just say Mario but rather try to name the exact character (Luigi, Peach)) It would also be helpful if you could point out where in the picture they are hiding.
4) Honor Code please
5) Everyone is allowed to participate
6) Those who end up being eligible get put into a giveaway for a game of their choice up to $10 USD (or up to $10 in a Humble Bundle/Fanatical/Groupees bundle). Names will be put in a "hat" and drawn. (Note that the choice can be any value under $10, so do not pressured to have the value equal $10)
7) I will close contest in about a week or so (at my discretion) and post the winner here. It will be up to them to contact me to claim their prize.
