Tl;dr ~ I have been using AXE for years, not caring what kind of brand as long as the deodorant works. Now, I have been more judgemental because some dedorants smell nicer than others. Old Spice is the way to go, but I am open for other suggestions. Women can join in the conversation too and say what kind of deodorant they like from guys.

I am only able to use an unscented deodorant with 4 ingredients. However, all deodorants for men smell disgusting to me. If I did use a scented deodorant I would pick one meant for girls.

As a man, I capture the musk ox in a manly headlock and force it to share its fresh musk with my arm pits by overwhelming it with my brute strength and unmitigated manliness.

Old Spice works great. Original, Red Swagger, Pure Sport, etc. Before I was introduced to Old Spice I was using, Right Guard and Speed Stick. Those didn't work throughout the day.

I use Rexona, Nivea or dove for men. They last all day and are really soft in the scent department. I also use a little bit of cologne. Axe and Old Spice are associated with really old men here in Argentina.

I am Alpha M and a few other men style channels recommend Native Deodorant. I can't try it, it's a US only "thing".
But you try it.

As a lady, it's nice to see guys caring about this stuff, how you smell is important so is what you put on your skin! :D

I prefer a person (guy or girl) to have a clean scent. I don't like a lot of artificial smells and stuff. I personally have sensitive skin so I use Dove or Secret, but it's nice that Dove makes a line for the gentlemen. Also have one called "Crystal Stick" it's for men or women. No scent but I didn't personally like it but someone I used to know swore by it.

I usually use Nivea Cool kick. it's got a mild fragrance, and it does not irritate my skin nor leave any stains.

I've been using Old Spice since forever, don't plan to switch unless they disappear from the market.
I use the yellow one now, can't remember its name.

My father always uses Nivea and he seems to be content with it.

Personally, I hate when people smell too much like products. Sweat is never nice, but if you used your product for like 5 minutes straight (like those stereotypical axe/perfumed kids) that smell is much much worse.

I personally prefer ones with little to no smell (currently using Gillette Endurance Cool Wave) since I'd rather not mix the deodorant smell with the colognes I use.

Do not use anything, it mostly uses bad chemicals, that are not good for you.
If you sweat a lot, then shave it.

If you still sweat a lot, then there is another problem, are you in a permament stress ? Or there can be other possible problems...

For starters, shaving (or plucking, if you have time) your armpits will greatly improve your personal hygiene. The "stink" of perspiration is absorbed by body hair. After that, I recommend you use an "unscented" antiperspirant, then pick something else for fragrance. Personally I can't stand colognes and such, so I use oil-based perfumes (e.g. frankincense, myrrh, sandalwood, clove, white musk) sparingly. Coconut oil has a pleasant scent, and it's also benefits your skin and hair.

If you're not used to using oils, be careful not to overdo it before you get the hang of it.

As awkward as that might sound, I must +1 this. It's true.

There's some sort of stigma about dudes shaving their armpits, but even just keeping the hair short really does help keep odor down and also prevents that uncomfortable pull when the hair gets caught somewhere.

Besides, when are we gonna admit that armpit hair is simply gross, not matter who it's on?
