Hm.. I think Skyrim or Bioshock games are the best examples - I play them very often and I like them. I really like full sandbox games like Saint's row 3 and GTA 4, I recommend these games to everyone, a lot of fun!
Games with a lot of history are awesome! Like telltale games, Bioshock Infinite, dishonored, deus ex - games with amazing world and beautiful history!

Couldn't decide so I threw a coin... 11 times. Another World. It's the first game utilizing vector graphics for animation, it had its own editor, was good when it first came out and still is, even though it's short as fuck (used to be longer due to difficulty but it got lowered for modern audience, go figure).

Don't know if Final Fantasy IX counts because on Steam is the Remastered version while the one I love so much is the PS1 original; of the games I bought and played on Steam I love Transistor the most. Beautiful style, wonderful soundtrack and a lovely story. I would gladly forget everything about that game so I can experience it all over again, especially the ending.

There can only be one of course, Half Life 2. Was one of those "wow" moments in pc gaming for me. Plus it was the start of Steam itself, even if it was loathed at the time.

Street Legal Racing: Redline v2.3.1
I always wanted a game where you could modify cars from the ground up and race them on the streets. Sure it might have dated graphics, a weird physics engine and is pretty unstable, but it is the closest to what I can call as my dream racing game.

I'd have to say Bad Rats, only the original though, the second one was not nearly as well made as the original.
Serious answer: I'd have to say the ORIGINAL Bulletstorm, before they released the shitty remastered version. It was just so entertaining and I really enjoy the voice actor.

I suppose it's GTA V, it's my favorite genre and I'd love to play all mission and collect everything. :D
From the games I own I played Stardew Valley the most (apart from idling clickers), it was very fun to just complete my goals during christmas break. Now all that's left is to 100% it, but I don't feel like playing for that reason only.
