List of games that were paid and now are free. What does that mean? It means that either they have changed their business model, it just become free or perhaps they will be payable again later. So, just in case, why not link the license to your account? Also, in case it's removed, you'll be able to download it.
📝 Keep in mind these packages are FreeOnDemand, not NoCost.
📝 If I already have a game purchased, I can't know if now is available for free. So there will be more.
📝 RaChart friendly.
🟧 First chapter or prologue of a game.
🟪 DLC now free, even if the base game is not.
🟨 Free now, but it won't be in the future.
🆓 It was paid elsewhere and now is free on Steam, or it is free even if it indicates otherwise.
🚫 It's no longer free.
⛔ Removed, no longer available.

FreeOnDemand games don't increase your profile counter, don't drop cards and they can be removed from the licenses page. NoCost games are just the opposite, except for cards with the latest Steam changes.

I did "!addlicense ASF 457596,388037,315904,457733,458134,458923,432810,459066,460006,460748,461908,462121,462611,462625,462414,464494,465301" in the console and everything comes back as "Status: Fail"
You own the games already. It says "fail" because it can't activate licenses which already are active.
If you want to know which games you already have, this user script is handy:
Once installed, it needs to be configured (API key + Steam ID64) so it can check ownership.
Check section "How to use it".
Thanks, got it to work now :)
Also mind there are activation limits. 10 fails or 50 successful activations, both limits cause 1h wait (AFAIK).
I alway's do 4 at a time.
Though you can do more , it should work ok.
The only thing i'm careful of is when grabbing the codes.
Make sure you don't accidentally have a 'space' or webpage character in there.
I use the !addlicense ASF from my text file because i know it's clear of anything you sometimes grab when copying stuff from web pages.
I suppose it is possible Steam servers are bugging out ,they do occasionally.
I even tried just 1 like !addlicense ASF 465301 and it still says Fail.
Some do work tho so I do think I've setup ASF properly
Maybe you already have them on your account? In any case, here is the basic information of what you need/have to do:
Can someone explain to me what is ASF I see this in a lot of place hah
ArchiSteamFarm for idling your trading cards on steam.
But it's quite powerful and do lots of other things if you're good with command type programs (ie: no GUI)
But it does have a interactive gui of sorts for entering codes.
Like you can use it to activate codes that get listed here:
Or from the horse's mouth:
Click through on any game listed on Steamdb and you can see the ASF code needed for temp. free ,free weekend or always "free on demand" ,e.t.c.
When you have it up and running and logged into your steam account /s.
You press 'c' ,then copy / paste your ASF command with 'Ctrl V'. ( eg: :!addlicense ASF 465301)
It has a bit of a learning curve though.
There is a wiki that explains how to use it.
Maybe there's youtube videos that show how to use it ,not sure.
There used to be a desktop GUI that someone made but it's outdated now.
Though i still use the desktop GUI with an old ASF release for activating actual steam codes on my Steam accounts.
About that GUI, you can do the same from the web interface, here you have all the information: https://github.com/JustArchiNET/ArchiSteamFarm/wiki/IPC
Thanks ,forgot to mention that.
It stopped working for me and i haven't tried using it for ages.
It used to open a web page gui in my browser , useful when it does work.
Still ,desktop GUI was the best :)
Edit: Beat by a Oldman82. XD
It's a program used to farm steam trading cards and make redeeming keys on alt accounts easier.
If you not good with this type of program it might just give you a headache :)
I managed to get the basic thing up and running but it does require some figuring out..
Don't ask me though , f'ckd if i can remember now.
Haven't had to touch the settings for over a year.
It's a real shame the desktop GUI was dropped for the newer versions.
It was a lot easier to deal with when it had the proper desktop GUI.
!addlicense ASF 465781,465761
Very nice ,thanks Joseahfer !
Alpha Polaris : A Horror Adventure Game
Suddenly I can't add any more free games. From the client, never let me download the games, just open the store page again and again.
Can't find any solution online. I deleted all the files except steam.exe and steamapps, and restarted. Same problem.
edit: Closed everything steam related on the task manager and worked.
Wow ,big price reduction.
