As far as I heard, it usually takes ages. A screenshot of the chat and the user admitting he realises it was an impresonator could help I guess, but dunno. Anyway, I know it doesn't help much, but nobody really cares about that one negative feedback anyway, from somebody with no feedback at all, on a profile with so many positives. Almost all the big traders have at least one fake feedback.

Yeah, I actually took screenshots of our entire chat and sent them in a ticket to Support. I felt bad for him initially but when he tried to blackmail my pity disappeared entirely. Not sure if that makes me a not so good guy, oh well <.<
Thanks for the feedback everyone, hopefully something will be done about this, if not I guess I'll live heh

No, blackmailing is asking to be slapped aside. Report, and walk on.

Something like that happened to me too a while back, I gave away a few leftovers of Dota 2, on the forum, since I had so many beta copies, he asked for one, I refused to deliver since he already owned it. He gave me a negative on SteamTrades and tried to blackmail me, he demanded a copy for the removal of his negative. Then I turned his strategy on his head, I delivered the copy while everything was being recorded, he removed the negative as he promised but got a permanent ban afterwards. If I was him, I would say it wasn't worth it but for me it was.
Happened again much later with an impersonator, I gave him a chance but he still kept using my identity, I blackmailed the shit out of him and got him trade banned on steam, then he begged for mercy because apparently he needed the trade function quite bad, he apologized and admitted he did wrong, I forgave him but it was too late. Never heard of him ever since.

Support definitely wants to hear about it. Misuse of trade feedback is a serious offense.

I had to get fake feedback removed twice. Three times, I guess, if you count the time I directly asked someone to remove it who had been scammed.
The other two times took months, but were finally removed. One was from some foolish mortal who said I took too long to get back to him or something (we hadn't even attempted a trade) and I forget the other. I see what that person above wrote about big traders having a negative often enough, but I don't know. I don't tolerate that kind of nonsense and waited until it got removed after reporting it. Took a long time though.

Yeah, I get it that 1 negative feedback will probably mean nothing to most people but it just annoys me that it's there, especially since I know it was "falsely put" there.
Eitherways, the scammer in question has already changed his profile link, username and avatar but I've tracked him down using Steamrep and apparently someone else got scammed by him today and reported him over at Steamrep. I honestly hate this kind of people, they are stealing other people and pretty much getting away with it, it just makes me sad.

i had this several times. the longest one took about 2 months to remove, i believe. but they will do it eventually, as long as you are able to explain it and/or have some proof.

Support has been working on staffing, so you should begin to notice an improvement in our response time.

That's a great news. Also kinda sad becuase I had a great idea how to resolve this. I will share it anyway:
1 - create another steam account
2 - buy games that user own
3 - play MP together
4 - start chatting
5 - become closer and closer friends
6 - take that relationship to another level
7 - ask for some sensitive information
8 - gather some blackmailing stuff
9 - blackmail that user back
It could take months but I think it would be worth it ( ͡~ ͜ʖ ͡°)

I have got 1 negative feedback without any reason... he wanted to add me on steam but I dont. So he got angry and gave me a negative. Thats so stupid. I never had any CS:GO Keys and I never have played CS in my life. I have reported him and hope the negative will be deleted.

Long story short. Someone got scammed by someone impersonating me and after realising it, the person who got scammed says he won't remove the negative feedback from my profile unless I give him the game he was scammed for, which I don't even own on my account.
Has anyone had any experience with issues like these? Does support tend to help with this sort of thing?
Don't get me wrong I get it that he's upset but blackmailing me is not going to solve anyones problems.
Cheers!
