Weird, I've never had issues with amazon buying keys. I did buy the bioshock pack from them too.

That's just it, I've bought 3 sets of bioshock keys from them and 2 worked and 1 was already used.
I'm not saying Amazon is a bad site (in fact I love Amazon, I'm a Prime member), for all I know maybe someone guessed the key (who knows?). I'm just saying if you're going to hang onto the key for a long time it's something to consider.

Have you clicked on the "click to view" button for those keys? If you're not going to use the key in a while, perhaps not clicking that button until you intend on using the key can help prove that you have not activated the key yet. (Not sure if Amazon actually keeps track of that kind of info)

I always click the button right away because I keep all of my keys from multiple sources compiled on one password protected document on my computer, it makes it so I don't have to go to different sites all the time to run my giveaways.

Keys are always revealed now that Amazon directly emails them. Very annoying imo, and I've complained about it many times.

Maybe try getting in touch with Tony? He's the Amazon digital downloads guy that does all the community outreach, you can find him on several big forums and/or reddit. Super nice guy, explain what happened and he might be able to help you out, or at least inform you of what happened.

I actually have personally talked to Tony before (not on this subject), he's a great guy and I love him to death for the deals he sets up upon user request :D
I haven't contacted him yet but I will soon, it wasn't a big enough deal until just now I finally boiled over; it's just happened one too many times at this point.

"too old to have replaced because they think I played it and just want my money back" If you just ask to replace the key, how is it wanting money back?

Sorry I should have worded that better. "Wanting another key so I can give it to, or sell it to, someone else" would be a better description.

I never personally had that kind of problem but traded with few people who gave me duplicated Amazon keys (like Payday ones). I've not been scammed, they always gave me working keys after but they were SURE that they never used the previous ones.

It happens, I guess.
A friend of mine got a used key from Gamersgate once.

Just wanted to give everyone a fair warning that Amazon sometimes will give you a key that has already been used. They've replaced the keys for me in the past when I tried to activate the key right away and found it was already used, however I've purchased games during past sales such as Christmas that are now too old to have replaced because they think I played it and just want my money back. So if you're going to have the key lying around for awhile waiting for a giveaway you may want to keep this in mind.
Games that have been previously activated include:
Bioshock 1
Bioshock 2
and Cargo Commander
There were other games in the past but I honestly can't remember what they were, these were the 3 most recent ones I've had issues with.
