Yesterday I joined a public giveaway with about 700 entries and there was a link for invite-only gw and guess how many entries was in invite-only giveaway. Only 4 including me. Won that game btw.

Public level 0 giveaways can be traumatic reading your results, out of my own public level 0 giveaway experiences and remembering the public level 0 (test) giveaways that Talgaby posted with as result a truckload of re-rolls.
There is a reason why I transitioned most of my public giveaways to SGTools giveaways.

Yes, I've tried to have fun experiments while at the same time organizing it in such a way that I can minimize the posisbility of rerolls. Now that SG automatically removes entries for winners it makes things much better.

I am not surprised that the 700+ people did not find your link, because nobody cares about that game. So, they were likely all bots or blind clickers with 3p to spare.
So the only real complaint is that the 3 people who obviously do read decided not to comment in spite of the fact that they probably read your comment that you like comments.
So, really, just a complaint about 3 people who also want to win Wooden Floor - so not the best sample.

I have a similar experience. I hid a link to a Saints Row 4 GA inside a bunch of crappy GAs. The shitty ones got +1k enters. Saints Row got 20-30 people.
I stopped doing public GAs because of bots+autojoin scripts. :/

People would just find a way to circumvent the captcha. invite-only GAs with easy Itstoohard or sgtools is still the best option imo.
btw, with that captcha i would give up easily even GAs for highly wishlisted games xD

I would guess you would have had more entries if it was a link. There may be auto-entry scripts in use, but lazy people are all around too

You'd be surprised... I've tried w/ obvious blue links as well in prior experiments and these usually have between 1-3% entry rate for the second giveaway. Certainly better than this but the point is to reward people who read, so I don't want to make it toooooo easy, you know? :P
We'll never know for sure if it's scripts/bots, people who blindly enter without reading, people using the mobile app, people who can't read English, or people who see the text/link but do not have the curiosity to hover their mouse to see where it goes. :)

I hid all ga for this game and probably all those people just wanted cards/+1 to library and set their bots to enter anything cheap xD

3 I recently made a public level 0 giveaway for Wooden Floor, a cheap and mediocre game that nearly everyone already has or does not want. In the description of that public giveaway, I very clearly put a link to an invite-only giveaway with 25 more copies to reward humans who read descriptions. It was not hidden in any way.
v The public GA got 735 entries. The private GA got only 3 entries... and within that GA I mentioned that I like comments, too, and zero of the three entrants commented.
a So, if you are reading this, congratulations. You're already doing better than most other SG users. The remaining 22 copies are up for grabs. Considering how few people still need or want this game, I'd say you'll have a very good chance of winning.
