If you can get the powers that be to modernize any old cartoons/anime/shows you used to watch back in the day many many moons ago, which would you like to see done?

I know, I know. Modernization of old shows regularly leads to them being bad, but if you could, what shows would you bring back?

Biker Mice From Mars
Samurai Pizza Cats
Street Sharks

They were pretty lame to begin with so it's not like a remake could be much worse.

Ben 10. The original. Not the spin offs, live action, or 'sequels' where the animation changed. Gimme the old first rendition of the show continued as it was before.

unfortunately Tommy Lee Jones won't be in MiB4
Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson will play the main characters

That's too bad, but I guess expecting the same cast was asking too much. :/

Most of them just could use more episodes (with the same crews which is impossible)
Edd, Ed 'n' Eddy
Courage the Cowardly Dog
Kids Next Door
and I could/would see a retouched Yu Yu Hakusho with some extra animations and maybe a bit more to the fights. Storyline, characters, art style are nice, but rewatching it shown how reused some attacks are ... simplistic? (moving background, static character with idk, icycles, hit enemy flying, then mirror the whole thing to see it like they were hit again) And that got pretty repetitive when it was about more important characters, in multiple episodes. So, just show and animate more fighting, but that's all. Still a really entertaining story.

i loved darkwing but when i got the full series and watched them all together he was rarely in his own universe though one of his main villains was a alternate darkwing.

Updating wouldn't even work for some of these, because their charm is that they took older shows an twisted them into something new. But I would love to see more episodes.
Space Ghost Coast to Coast
The Brak Show
Sealab 2021

I would never watch a Home Movies update/remake but i would love it if Brendan and the gang made a return.

I completely agree. Actually, I've no desire to see any cartoon modernized, which I surmise means changing its original style to appeal to contemporary tastes. It just never seems to work out.

'Gatchaman'. The real one, not that butchered up one they showed in the US called 'Battle of the Planets'.

Attack No. 1 (1968-1970). I enjoyed the story and probably still would, but the art style feels more than just "a bit" dated.

nothing! =P
it's been so many years, more than a decade, that i don't watch anime, cartoons or whatever else.. I just watch tv for some hours per week and nothing more.. some movies with my gf on the laptop from time to time =P
and I never watched any kind of series, I don't even know what netflix is XD (i used to watch stargate sg1 back in the days though!)
anyways, I grew up for many years with so many fantastic anime that really I've got so many beautiful memories that I'd love to keep as they are <3

SWAT Kats: The Radical Squadron. A show so obscure that if you want to buy it on a DVD, you have to get it individually manufactured. (And even then, they just print the old VHS release on it in digital form.)

How about some kind of version of Captain N - The Game Master

  • I could do with a redone version of the original Super Dimenson Fortress Macross series. (which in the US got tooled into the first part of Robotech). Story is still strong, but the animation, as good as it was for it's tile is but really showing it's age.

  • Last year an animated version of Naoki Urasawa's Pluto was announced. That covers the Tetsuwan Atom/Astro Boy remake well enough.

  • Anyone else remember COPS ?

  • I alsto still want a a Battletech series that does not suck.
