I have bought Castlevania 2 for 4 TF2 Keys, everything went well...

The gift looked totaly normal (I've checked it very well), not saying ROW/RU or anything, just details about the game...
I've activated it sucessfully (Not even a slight problem / anything different then any other gift i've been activating)
But then when I asked the seller where he was from, he said Russia, and when I asked him that I saw it is locked there, he said "it's his little secret", yet told me it's 100% Row, but maybe I should not activate it now, but later...

I live in Israel, never used VPN or anything else, and had no trouble activating the gift...
It also did not say anything about any restriction, nowhere during the activation process...

I think if it really was restricted, it would not let me activate the gift, as if it is restricted to a region, it'd see I live in Israel and wont let me, right ? So I have nothing to be worried about ?

Should I be worried? I'm currently downloading the game, without any trouble, and everything seems fine and perfect, I'm not suspecting anything..

Edit: When I go to my account details -> License and Subscriotions, It doesnt say it is RU or ROW, just says "Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 Digital Bundle Gift/Guest Pass" as 99% of my activated gifts are...

Thank you!

Don't worry it's safe. If it doesn't say RU, nothing to be alarmed about. He got a ROW copy (search the how on google/reddit) and that's all.

He's not supposed to be able to, but some people do shady things.

Odds are you're OK, but there's some chance your game will disappear from your library one-day without warning.

I dont mind for it to disspear, I mind about something worse to happen...
Are you sure that worst case, the game will be gone ?

It is okay, if anything goes wrong, just revert the trade.

Nah, nothing will happen. All you did was trade for it through a Steam feature, why would anything happen to you?

I don't know, but now that you make it sound like this (as this is also true), I am feeling more comfortable now!
Thank you very much!!!

If you have a RU tagged copy you cant active it, only with VPN. So everything is fine if you are currently downloading it.
