This script enhances the charts by showing you which games you already own from the ones in it. If you own it, the row will be highlighted with a green color.

Buying the linux bundle?

View Results
Yes! Finally a linux bundle!
Sure! Let's see what it got first though! :)
Perhapsss!
Nah, not this time!

instabuy. Even if I might end up possibly not liking any of the games, it's important to support linux gaming (which is my primary OS).

7 linux games ... I probably have them or don't want them ... I'll wait for some hints but will probably get it just because I'm a sucker :)

Pretty sure it's like in the Mac bundle. They will always work on Windows but in this case these games will also work on Linux!

I think there isn't a single non-win game on Steam at all

The video for WeaponizedChess is adorable :) I don't even have Linux and I still wanna buy that game full price directly from Steam just to give money to that guy.

Pretty sure it's not only for Linux! :P Just how the Mac bundle wasn't only for people who use Mac.

I still use Windows for gaming purposes even if I mainly use Linux for development. So this is of no interest to me. However, this is a nice addition for those 100% using Linux for everything including gaming.

As I wrote elsewhere in this thread, the games will work for Windows too! :) And yep, especially great for people who uses Linux for gaming as well!

Well, in that case I'll wait for the reveal and see if anything looks interesting. In my opinion this one is riskier than usual so I see no point in pre-ordering it.

Umm... Sorry if I'm missing something but is this a random set of linux compatible games or does it actually list them somewhere? Have to be honest... not too fond of sites that place social media more prominently than the details of what they are selling.

Edit: Also, anybody who has bought from them before... do they usually have at least 1-2 decent games (similar to humble bundle/bundlestars) or is it generally just low quality crap?

It's a blind pre-order. Tomorrow when the bundle is officially for sale, you can see all of the games, but it'll cost more.

Generally just crap. This like gambling. You can always buy games once revealed, they will still be cheap. But you just won't have crap ones. I have generally stopped buying from them blindly.

Buy it if :

  • you buy any possible game anyway
  • you want to support linux tag... (hopefully, more and more games get released on Linux)
  • you like revealed game

Don't buy if :

  • you are sane
  • you don't like gambling
  • you don't want revealed game

Sorry, the social media stuff is what another user posted in this very thread. I just thought it would be useful and posted it in OP as well!

Regarding your other question; as the other two said, this is a pre-order. You don't know exactly what you will get (except for the background game and some basic info about the content in the bundle) though sometimes they will add hints that we sometimes guess correctly and which gets confirmed.
Anyways, so you don't know the content, but you will get the whole bundle cheaper aka $1.50 for the whole thing. If you wait until the countdown is over (24 hrs after the bundle launches) and the bundle content is revealed, then it will cost ~$3 for the full bundle. There's pros and cons in both options.

If you are more skeptic, I would suggest to wait and see when the bundle is live. Usually (from what I've noticed) when they don't add many hints it means the bundle isn't too great. But you never know! :p

Ah ok, thanks to everybody for filling me in. i'll wait til after the reveal but if they have at least onw good one, will probably pick it up.

Edit: And no need to be sorry :-) I just was leery to purchase without knowing what was going on and meant it had a bunch of social media on the site but no info on games and wasn't seeing the info that you guys explained. But I also didn't look too diligently either...

I'm a sucker so I pre-ordered. If I get lucky and there is anything I want, great ... otherwise - it'll be GAs or trades :)

Same here. Can't not buy a bundle intended for Linux, if only to show support. I can't even get a drink here for that kind of money so it's not much of a waste either.

There were only 2 repeats for me. And +5 linux-compatible games to my library. Not bad :)

Same here, haha! But would have been 3 repeats if I didn't end up accidentally skipping that bundlestars bundle. :X

And indeed not bad! I was expecting much worse! Especially since we didn't get any hints! But there are several titles here on my wishlist, so well worth the $1.50 for me! ^.^

I am currently debating if I should add that or trade/do a GA. The only one I activated was SQR, while the rest sit in holding for a bit until I make up my mind
