if you can really trust someone, you can have someone with the game in their account use the key.

edit: actually I don't know if it would even tell you if the key was unused anyway. seems like there's only one way to find out.

Hmmmm I'm not 100% sure but if you try to activate it maybe it will say the key has been already activated instead of the usual this product is already on your account message?

Only way to find out is to do a giveaway.

another way is perhaps to add all the guys who commented where you posted your comment and just ask them all if they got the key.

I would be very much interested in knowing how many begging attempts/random friend requests you've gotten on steam since opening this thread. Please let me know, thanks.

Steam should really make a system to tell if a key is valid or not without having to activate it to check.

why don't u make another steam account and check those?

The key is gone for sure.

Two options:

• Make a giveaway for it and if they key is used then either buy another of accept a "not received" strike.

• Give it to a friend and forget about gaining CV from it.
