Youtube community channel? Is this a good Idea? Can you provide feedback?

I am thinking of creating a youtube channel with the idea of getting people together to game, talk about games, movies, tv shows, anime and a variety of other topics. The concept is to have a lot of people doing videos with each other about a lot of different topics covering any media. so we could have Let's Plays and Nuzlocke runs as well as just a conversation about what we have been doing or new tv shows, games or movies we want to see or like the look of.

Does anyone have any ideas or feedback for this idea?

Or maybe interested in helping?

Any positive feedback is welcome.

Also what kind of name could I use.

I want to cover Tv, Movies, Games and Anime.

You should create a forum instead. It could be a community of people who play games together, yet also create videos on YouTube. The most popular / trusted members could have their own sections where they could post updates about their channels etc.

Thank you for the feedback and Idea. I really like that idea and the prospect of how it could grow with lots of people involved daily in how it changes.

I agree with Intoxeus. I don't think people would want to watch that. Stream, sure, but youtube: no thank you. I personally would do my best to block all the content from the person who makes that, because it would just be a waste of time. Make a forum / website in stead.

Once again, this is just my opinion.

I do agree with your points but I feel it would be easier to run a youtube channel to begin with then evolve it into a forum. And I don't have much experience in website hosting or creation. I do agree with everything so far and feel that it could grow a lot faster and better with more involvement from people.

If you're new to web development, you'll be surprised to find out how easy and inexpensive it is to run a forum. You can start up using a free hosting, such as ByetHost, and a free forum CMS (content management system), such as phpBB. To transfer the phpBB files onto the ByetHost FTP server you can use an app like FileZilla, which is also free. To top it off you will need a domain, if you want it to be a proper domain name (.com, .net, .co.uk, etc.) you will need to purchase it (around $10-$15 dollars per year, depending on where and which you decide on purchasing).

Even though I had some gaming videos on my youtube, I do not seek fame or anything alike. Just sth funny for my friends to watch.

If I do want my content to be seen by more people, youtube community is not a good way to do that. On forums and stuffs are more appropriate for that.

I do agree and I am talking to my friend about what patch to take nd we are thinking about both as they both have advantages and disadvantages. Thank you for the feedback

As long as it wasn't in my face like 20 videos a day or something, but like a video every 1 or 2 days.
