Free racing games?

I am looking for some free racing games to try out with my usb gamepad. So, gamepad support is a must. I have played NFS:World, Nitronic Rush(Doesn't recognize the pad), and a few others. Speed Dreams crashes when I try to load it. Can any of you think of any other games I can try?

As an aside, Microsoft Flight has made a great first impression.

Thanks for all your recommendations and advice, I will be putting them into action over the next few, speed filled, days!

Trackmania Nations Forever? more a fun racing gane but makes lot of fun (don't know about the controller support stuff)

Definitely looks interesting, I may wait to try MMO racing games, but I am still interested in them. Thanks for the suggestion.

I'd have to disagree. There is a certain type of maps called Full Speed. Usually these maps involve no braking what so ever and you only need to turn and drift. Gamepad is helpful here, since turning becomes smooth.

Try also BMW M3 Challenge. About pad in nitronic rush you should download emulator of X360 pad (type in google x360ce.exe and you should find it)

If the game supports gamepad, but doesn't recognise one it's probably made for X360 pad, so as ExusPL wrote - download emulator. I'm using XInput

all you have to do is get a program and remap the buttons to keyboard and mouse keys i do it all the time that way it will work with any game even if it doesnt support gamepads

Trackmania is a big one

Nitronic Rush is good if you dont mind playing a racing game by yourself
