According to https://isthereanydeal.com/game/sparkitupfarkitup/history/, historical low was at 2020-12-22 (61% off), but in that time even wasn't third game, so maybe not bad deal.

Have no idea, i bought the complete for 3,91€ in EU region.

According to steamdb prices tab for the compete edition, it has no data from Russia, Brazil, Indonesia, Turkey, Ukraine, India, Colombia, South Africa, Argentina and Kazakhstan.
Maybe this complete package is not available there.

Okay, then it's a good reason to buy old ultimate edition now!

The new one is less of a remastered version and more like an updated version. Think of something like the difference between Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- and Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator.

The new game is going to have updated visuals and whatnot, but it's also going to have additional content for the pre-existing fighters. And it's also going to have its own new set of DLC characters and stages. The RPG mode from the original version, though, is supposedly NOT going to be in the new one. So if you had any interest in that then you'd need to get the original.

The game looks awesome, but way too many people are complaining about game-breaking bugs, such as saves getting deleted. I don't see the devs responding to these issues either, so I'm afraid that would totally ruin the experience.

Did you try it out, has any of it been resolved?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

No I haven't. Maybe I will give it a go someday, my backlog is way too big. :)

Looks the definitive edition uses a different save folder path than the original game, which was the problem.
Copying them in the new save folder solves this. For the other stuff I have no idea.

  • Package products and download sales products will all end on the same day.

「販売終了」 seems to mean "end of sale" or "end of life" in the sense that a product is no longer sold anymore. The following text seems to support this interpretation. But I accept this translation may be faulty.

Both of these games (Castle Crashers and Battleblock Theater) are good, but the combined price is one cent higher than the individual prices bought together :(] (-76% - $5.99 vs $5.98 bought separately)

There's also this actually discounted bundle with Pit People and Castle Crashers + its DLC. (-70% $11.00)

Does anyone here have an opinion on pit people? I own CC on Xbox 360, but might pick up this bundle if Pit People is worth playing.

Pit People is fun! I don't know how many are still playing it now since there is a PVP aspect with the gladiator arena, but even if you have trouble finding matches for that part of the game, the story and the world map is still fun to play through.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Did you play with a friend or solo? I liked BattleBlock Theater's story mode quite a bit and Castle Crashers was also fun for a while, so I know The Behemoth generally puts in a good effort for campaigns, but I read some Steam reviews about Pit People's combat being a bit boring. Those reviewers ended up suggesting using the auto battler more frequently to cut down on tedium and wasted time. It's a shame if the core mechanic is not super engaging, so I stopped myself from purchasing so far.

i did co-op with a friend during the beta. the colosseum is 2v2, so he and I teamed up against whoever was available for matches. it was fine, but the only reason i saw to really get into that aspect was to grind for goodies/points. you can have a friend join in with your campaign but it's drop-in/drop-out, you don't need to keep playing with that one person for the entire campaign.

once i got the full game post-beta i played strictly solo and didn't feel like i was missing anything. if you get bored of the combat it's fairly easy to avoid the mobs on the map while you do quests and such.

Comment has been collapsed.

crowalt is not a side-scroller but a point & click adventure, and not a good one.

down in bermuda has been 90% off every time since a few months after release because the devs are shit. overprice your $2-5 mobile game so you can fool people into thinking they're getting a good deal at -90%, but also grab more money from unsuspecting customers buying it around release. they also doubled the price of their other game pretty fast, then deleted discussions about their price fuckery.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

These are just some games from my wishlist that were heavily discounted and looked pretty good. Crowalt has positive reviews so I included it. Thanks for the warning on the Bermuda devs, although I think these are pretty good deals and I look forward to playing them regardless. Down in Bermuda also has very positive reviews so I'm optimistic.

people upvote everything that looks cute (that's most mobile games), doesn't mean anything. $2 is technically a good deal but I'd rather not give money to fuckers like those people. and crowalt just had too many annoyances to recommend. shouldn't be hard to make a decent point & click but they failed here. if you want cute and pirates and point & click done really well, check out cleo: a pirate's tale, excellent stuff.

Silverfall looks quite a bit older than what its 2007 release date would suggest, I thought it's early 2000s. But it has such a rough yet crisp, unique design, I'm really digging it. I considered getting it but decided to pass for now. The GOG version has cloud saving, widescreen support, and controller support. You could just get the steam version and use the widescreen patch or configure your controller with steam input.. but you can't replicate cloud saving. So for once the GOG version has more features.. although barely. I might just buy it on there for the same price
