If it involves crypto in one way or another, you won't be wrong if you feel something isn't right. Besides, (if legit) this is the equivalent of survey money, but you pay with electricity you use for your GPU instead of time.

"If it looks shady, that's because IT IS shady." - everybody who's gonna read this.

You'd be better off mining crypto by yourself, selling it, and using the profits to buy whatever you want, rather than doing it for someone else and getting paid with crap, because that's totally what the "games" you can earn are gonna be.
Not to mention that you'd likely be helping shady activities like money laundering (or worse), and that they might be doing more than just mining with your PC.

That said, mining in general is NOT profitable, unless you pay literally nothing for electricity.
Even surveys would be a lot better, since you'd get actual money that you can use to buy anything, not just games (and without wasting electricity).

I'm guessing the real winner is the guy behind the site, miners probably get a very small share of the generated money.
A bit off topic, but for people willing to share their CPU/GPU time, there are non-profit programs for helping research. Folding@home for example, there are others.
