Hi all, just thought I should start a thread to discuss the games coming in the next IndieRoyale.

  • Nuclear Dawn - Confirmed
  • Rochard could be the 2nd - Probably not / Q.U.B.E. - coming to steam january 6th
  • Terraria / Limbo
  • Maybe this - Did some googling and found out that this XBLA game is coming to PC / "Insanely Twisted Planet". That would at least have a "twist". (they did something similar with the Really Big Bundle - Thanks to BadKarMa)
  • Another suggestion for the 4th game: Super Crossfire (Thanks lFlapjackl)

I'll keep updating this thread!

These are only ideas based on the hints (except Nuclear Dawn, that got confirmed!).

Feel free to suggest other games etc.

Hints:

  • The titles to be offered will include a premium blend of FPS and RTS (Steam for PC and Mac), an innovative single-player puzzle game (Steam for PC and Mac, Desura for PC, DRM-free PC and Mac download), an award-winning 2D platformer (Steam for PC and Mac, plus an enhanced version for Desura PC, DRM-free PC and Mac download) and a world premiere on PC/Mac for an acclaimed arcade shooter with a twist (Desura for PC, DRM-free PC and Mac download)
  • Games haven't been in other bundles yet!

I've preordered. If some of them exists in my library, will I able to gift them here with the cd keys provided ?

BTW writing this, I've checked FAQ and found my own answer :(

IndieRoyale Bundles:
When you submit an IndieRoyale Bundle, it is only acceptable to have an unactivated gift URL to provide to the winner. Members giving away Steam keys and the like will be warned, have their giveaways removed, and if they continue, may result in a suspension.
These rules also apply to additional keys within the Humble Bundle. Please do not giveaway separate keys, such as Sanctum, or create a giveaway for the leftover Desura keys. Unused URLs for the original Bundle only, please.

They should create a single key for the whole deal like HIB does it.

It's just rude this way.

While their TOS says not to share keys I think the people who run IndieRoyale that they are still find with people giving away spare keys, so while it is against the rules to do so here (because Steamgifts wants to uphold their TOS) you can feel free to give your spare keys to a friend if you get any.

I actually don't think it will be Q.U.B.E., otherwise they would have mentioned something like they did with the 4th game.

And you also think it will contain Rochard, Terraria and Limbo, so... yeah.

Not really indie when you're being backed by Warner

It's most definetely indie. The game was financed by Supergiant with a team of around 6 or 7 guys. It was published by Warner. There's a big difference.

if i recall, its up to the publisher to determine where to sell a game.

so Supergiant cant be like "oh these humblebundle seems cool, i should try it". it'd be up to WB if they want to

That could be true but I doubt it was EA's decision to let Klei put Shank in the Humble Bundle..

didnt know EA published Shank. well now, my whole world is flipped upside down and i am completely clueless how this whole indie thing works. not saying that sarcastically btw. i always assumed indie means published by the developer (or atleast funded by the developer_

Almost all of the time the game is funded by the developer. A publisher pays for marketing and distribution. This obviously changes when the developer is in house and owned by the publisher. For example EA would have given DICE money for BF3 during it's production, however I doubt they gave Klei anything during Shank's production. It can also depend on whether the publisher owns the IP or not. Like Konami would be paying Platinum for Metal Gear Rising for example. Another one is LA Noire. That was originally going to be published by Sony but they cancelled it. In order to finish the game, Team Bondi sold the IP and publishing rights to Rockstar. Rockstar now owns the IP LA Noire. Super Meat Boy was originally going to be a WiiWare exclusive and published by Nintendo until Microsoft showed interest.

What was that company that recently bought back all of its shares and now is 100% control of its company and all their IPs?

Actually, they had to involve EA. There's no way they couldn't involve EA. IP ownership or not, if a game is published by a company they make money per units sold. You're delusional to think they had nothing to do with being part of the bundle, espcially with Shank 2 on the horizon which is EA published as well. A developer, no matter if they own the IP or not, would not be able to just decide to be in a Humble Bundle without permission from publishing partners.

Insanely Twisted Planet? I hope so! I saw that game on giantbomb and it looked good. Now that I have a 360 controller I'd like to play it!

If we can get a confirmation on that I'd defiantly preorder...
