take it to a store that sell ps3 and xbox 360 games they pretty much all have disk cleaner machines im sure if u ask nicely they'd do it for free or for a small charge

If you want to fix a scratch disc, there is a product called SkipDr. It smooths the surface in order to make them readable again. The only condition is that the scratch must not be on the label side. Otherwise, the data is dead. Check the product at Digital Innovations.

I used the banana solution. Rubbing with a bit of the fruit to get it filled up for two or tree minutes. Then with the peel, which is supposed to have a natural wax (don't know and don't care :P) for the same amount of time.
Get the cd clean with window washer liquid (I know it sounds crazy but it cleans the plastic nicely).
Use a nice cloth to get it dry and test it.
I got a few ps2 games back from the death with this. Some needed a second cleaning but it worked so if you try it, share the experience :)

i would say that being the owner of the cd, you are entitled to have a backup copy for personal use in case your hd and the original physical support are damaged, if you know what i mean. anyway this could change from one country to another, so you better check.

So.. i have like 3-5 games laying in my shlelf that i want to start to play...
problem is that i can't install them becasuse of scratched CD's (happened when i was younger :p)
So... is their like a way to install them with out the CD? or do i need to pirate them? (i dont find them on steam :( )
