For some days now Chrome blocks me whenever I want to open a thread or create a giveaway, on SG.
A warning appears (in German), informing me that webtrax.hu might try to install some software or gain my passwords etc.

It seems that https://webtrax.hu/myfacewhen/faces/animals/kitty-facepalm.jpg is the connection to SG.

Edit: Filipi found the cause of the trouble.

No issues here.

Maybe your antivirus, or whatever changed?

It's from Google, not any other software.

Edit: Funny, few minutes after I opened this thread and sent a report to Google, the alert is gone. It bothered me at least for two days previously.

Runs fine on chrome here, if it were me too then you would more easily say it's the site, but there must be something different.
Depending also on what others experience.

Just checked both options, on neither does it try to load anything from the above mentioned site.
So it's either related to some personalized ad or something on your side.
Did you try opening the page in incognito mode? This should automatically disable any extensions.

The ads shown has been an issue in the past. Was a bunch of years since last time, but I remember SG being flagged as a site that was not safe due to the ads shown here.

Check to see if you have an SG page on one of your tabs where someone has used image formatting with that jpg. Maybe it's used in one of the ads? Do you allow ads on SG?

That was my thought too, but it was literally for any thread I tried to open and when I wanted to create my latest giveaways. But only there, the main page or the main forum itself didn't cause any alert. Very weird but it seems the issue is gone now. No idea if Google reacted so fast to my report.

When I open the link you sent in Firefox I also get a "Deceptive site ahead" warning, but never get anything like that from just browsing Steamgifts.

I don't think there's anything wrong with the SG site, something else is redirecting you to this webtrax.hu address which Google has marked as being unsafe. If I was you, I would do a scan of your PC with Malwarebytes just in case you have some kind of malware installed.

Nah, the system is clean. And it would be weird that a compromised system should result in Google warning me about a site. And only while visiting SG. But thanks. :)

Do you use a script for Tampermonkey called "SteamGifts comment formatting"? It adds its own images to the comment window on SG (I think), including the kitty-facepalm.jpg that's giving the Google warning, so every time you open a page where you can write a comment (or giveaway description), it tries to load up that image. You can see it in the code of the script here.
