For the iphone part, I can say that salaries are related to one country's economic strength. If you don't export much, your currency is not strong enough to allow you to import goods, such as iphone, or jack daniel's...

Our economy goes to bottom. No heavy industry, not so much export -without plastics meeehh..-. We just work on Buildings to sell Arabian's...

Also dont think we're good on construction, this is goverment's building coop's work. link They give their auctions to them friends, this is what they do.

Unfortunately, to solve all the problems or your country (or any country), there's not much anyone but you (Turkish people) can do about it.
Sending money won't work, we've seen it in Italy (North paying South, disparity remained).
So I think it's a thing that should come from the bottom, from the people who really want to change your country, and gain freedom and democracy (if you want to, because we've seen that imposing democracy in some countries didn't have good results). This can be hard, of course, very hard. Most countries passed through a war to obtain them.

I've been afraid of the development of your home country for years. Though one can never say which consequences a revolution has (even more if achieved by the military), I really hoped it could help, now it's the opposite. But even here in Germany it seems as if there is still a big part of your people supporting or at least trusting Erdogan.
It's a shame how the EU depends on Erdogan due to the refugee deal.
Please continue trusting in democracy and find your way to re-establish it.

And yes, 1984 is a must-read.

That was good point. But think this, can you make a military coup with %1.6 percent personal of Turkish Army ? That was biggest theater from 'Him'. At least 150.000 people fired from civil servant-at least half is not love Fethullah Gulen. This is Witch-hunting party for him opposities. And yes more than half of our people loves Erdogan, i believe they can die for him. Some are really believes he is a Prophet o.O

I dont want to say anything about refugee problem so that was our best mistake. Know this we were supporting ISIS, El Nusra by offically so many documents released about that and entire authors and military personal at jail now...

Yeah, I still don't get why Erdogan is so popular in Turkey. Before him Turkey had pretty good or even great relations with most of its neighbors. I don't think that I might manage to name even one country that he didn't clash with and ruined Turkey's reputation.

And similarly he once had many friends and allies within Turkey. These days it is either that you are an Erdogan fanatic or you are an enemy. Paranoia in combination with megalomania, is an excellent path, if you want to end up in complete isolation.

Have an Ericsson G502 myself <3

Never used facebook, hence no need for constant checking, texting, selfiying, and whatever other things the youth today (i.e. the people we will have to rely on someday, help us god!) thinks would be neccessary to take part in "social life".

Also, those huge weighty smartphones are a nuisance to store in your pants pockets :D

Why were you afraid to be like Iran? Is Iran worst country on earth? Do they starve their people like in North Korea? Are they in civil war like some African countries? just wanna know Why did you only mention Iran?

But you do know that Iran is a theocracy? Not everyone wishes religion (or someone's interpretation of it) to dictate all aspect of their life.

So basically you do think that Iran is an Islamic North Korea? Kim Jung un is a dictator yes, he rules by keeping his people on constant fear of death and executions, Although they are about 20-30 millions
But you can't do this to 80 million people not even Shah could

Comment has been collapsed.

According to your comment it is possible to scare 30 million people to death, but 80 million would be impossible? Sorry, I have slight difficulties to follow that logic.

And it seems that you still don't get that this wasn't about "who is the most fearsome dictator in the world". His problem is how secularism in Turkey is eroding.

No i'm saying when you keep away people from global information and without something like internet they don't know what is going on outside of their borders, but in Iran it is not like in NK
I get your point my German friend but i was trying to say west propaganda did their job really well to show Iran worse than what it is. I'm not saying that there isn't Corruption and other things in there but Comparing Iran with the Turkey is not correct only because they are in same region, they are not in same situation.

Do you want to argue if the situation in Syria is worse than in Iran? If so, I'll pass, since it's hard to compare and I don't know which goal such a discussion could have.

I'm lucky that I was born here and I'm able to have empathy, but in the end I'm influenced by my life circumstances and have a subjective view. Therefore my empathy could be overreacted, since there might be people having other concepts of society or life and thus are happy with it. That's exactly the point leading to the dilemma if the united nations shall take measures against dictators/civil wars or not. But at least it's imo the correct institution to decide upon.

Comment has been collapsed.

Do you believe even with War in Syria, Iran is still worse? have you ever personally traveled to Iran? I'm very sorry about the image that West Propaganda showed to you about what is going on in Iran but that isn't true, well maybe some of it is but not all of it. it's not like Iranian people are happy about shooting in Germany which happened months ago or terrorist attacks in France or Even Turkey itself. It's not like that people of other countries wake up in the morning and see in the news that Iran launched a nuclear missile on Berlin! Iran is not US to Attack other countries over some stupid reasons and that's why they singed nuclear deal with 5+1 to ensure the world they don't want nuclear bomb, only peaceful nuclear energy but even after this agreement we still see that leaders of the world say Iran is after nuclear bomb, Iran will be next North Korea. You know what, just ignore this rant, I cannot compete with that Huge propaganda in West.

As I stated before, I don't want to compare it due to the war, making a comparison impossible. I'm sorry, if the small and in that moment thoughtlessly used word "worst" has hurt your feelings. Even more, since I only did an assumption why someone else used Iran as example. If you really want more of that, just google for "bad ass countries competion", not my cup of tea.

I've never been to Iran yet, but have also never been in the US yet. I've never stated or even thought that all Iranians would be happy about aggressions against other countries, whether by government or terrorists.
Generalisations are shit. And if you don't want others to think that all Iranians are fundamentals, you should otherwise don't think or claim that everyone else (or at least those from the "West") are thinking or behaving the same.

If you NOT only want to insinuate what I think or not and NOT only insult others for being propaganda victims, I'll give you a few hints:
I'm against death penalty. Not only in Iran, but also in the US and all other countries.
I'm against censorship. Again everywhere.
I'm for freedom of speech, press, faith (though I don't belong to any church anymore) and so on.. (and therefore I'm also worried about what's happening in Hungary and Poland).
I'm for women rights and emancipation. Yeah, this one isn't even completely achieved yet in Europe, don't need to talk about Iran.
I'm against nuclear energy and really hope that our agenda for nuclear energy exit will become real.
I'm for social market economy.
I'm against Trump, Erdogan and even.. Merkel (I have never ever voted her party).

Do you know the symbol in my avatar? It's the logo of the US american, post-hardcore band Rise Against. They're singing about political issues all the time, mostly about those in their home country.

So don't you dare calling me without personal knowledge a propaganda victim (why not Nazi? It's way shorter!), US fan or further shit in this direction.

I have a colleague, who was born in Iran, then raised in UK, now lives in Germany with a girlfriend which worked a few years in the US. Therefore I gathered a little more insight on it. If you would really like to correct the image of Iran, you should better try like him or Sibereren instead of ranting due to one word.

I never called you or people like you Nazi or propaganda victim, i was just saying that all the news in west are against iran, you cannot find even not good nor bad news about iran, at least i couldn't.
