Can you please remove link to discord from OP post? Social media can be promoted only in giveaway descriptions.
You can mention it on you page on Steam but not in discussion on SG.

This is good question as it's first time I see it.
For me it looks and works just like gleam giveaways. Require users to follow this or do-that for owner profit, outside of SG in order to join giveaway. But I will ask other mods for opinion.

Sorry, I get some feedback from other mods and forgot about it.
I will say it's not allowed. There is no difference between gleam.io giveaway where you're required to join discord, follow facebook and like a tweet, from steam group that requires the same. Both lead to users doing some actions for the benefit of one particular user, it redirects traffic to specific website.
Nothing about this requirement is aimed at simply selecting users with specific SG stats to join the giveaway group (number of wins, level, being VAC banned on Steam etc.)

Is there any reasons why this group is allowed to advertise on this website then? If you read all the replies at the end of the thread its all people saying they are having issues joining discord in order to join the group?

No, this is rule that's here for long time, and before people were promoting their twitch channel. Now people try to promote their discord servers, after they stopped to be simple place to chat with friends when you play games.
I would also ask you to remove mention about discord. It is still promotion and it's only allowed in GA descriptions or if someone would ask for discord server recommendations.
I will also discuss requirement to be part of discord to join steam group with other mods, as for me it doesn't differ from having giveaway hidden on gleam behind wall of "required to follow and subscribe those website".

you should edit your previous post with additional information instead of making a lot of short ones. It makes it hard to follow and reply.
I already wrote in few places. Using discord as social media is a new trend, so thread creators often add links to it months after group was created.
And no worry, I was usually checking new threads on rule violations. And I never had time to re-visit that old threads. That's why it get so prevalent now.

I've check and met/will be able to meet the requirements for 2 through 6 but while trying to accept the discord invite through the steam group page I got this error "Unable to accept invite". Is there something that I am missing out thus unable to join discord? I am still pretty noob when it comes to discord.
