They banned me from trading. I asked them to unban me, and they did. Like, over a week later of me trying to get in touch etc.

A week later, they banned me again for the exact same reason. Uggghhhh....

Got it cleared up eventually, of course.

check if you put the right credit card company and if you are using an international card or a national one.

probably your credit card company assumed your card was stealed and blocked it. too many transactions in a very short period of time sounds like phishing or something to them.

I think I had that last year, but forget exactly what caused it. I ended up calling the credit card company and they straightened things out. I suspect that making a lot of little charges may have been the issue, so now I put money into my Steam wallet once for big events like this and pay from there instead.

You may have hit a limit for the weekend, or maybe your credit card company thought the card was stolen if you had an unusual amount of purchases suddenly come up from Steam. (As if there was some kind of summer sale or something.) You could always try PayPal to see if that works.

I think that his account's steam wallet would be a better choice.

My problem's been the third cycle of dailies/voting. Starts at 4 am and ends at noon. By the time I log in, I've got to decide in a hurry if I want to buy the flash sales or not.

I remember this error came up for me once or twice in years past, with steam. I would suggest doing the usual cache sweep, and perhaps finding a way to flush your payment details and re-enter them from scratch. My problems cleared up within a day or two.
