Unable to enter giveaways because of "Free Weekend"

Steam has at the moment a free weekend for "Sanctum" going on and added it for the duration of the event in my library and makes me unable to enter any "Sanctum" give-aways - is there any way for me to enter despite the free weekend or am I simply out of luck here ?

Happens every time, might go away with time, might not. Try forcing sync every now and then.

As far as I know, there is no way to enter giveaways during free weekends. What I can suggest for the future is, re-sync your Steamgifts account before the free weekend starts, that way you don't have to re-sync again during, and the game will never show up in your library.
