Past tomorrow i will do a marathon with spectacular games at home to show them to friends to watch the great effects and graphic stuff in videogames nowadays.
I need titles where happens spectacular stuff, like in Hollywood movies. Explossions, collapsings buildings, earthquakes, big amount of characters in the screen at same time, huge bosses, jawdropping scenes, etc.
If this happens more or less in the beginning of the game or soon in the game, the better.

Examples:
·Call of Duty.
·BF4.
·BulletStorm.

From this list, i will use the games i have in my Steam, uPlay and Origin account.

Not spoilers about the plot. You can say; "This X game, because there is a collapsing structure in the second level." Just moments.

Thanks for your time and have a nice day. :)

Just Cause 2 has excellent frantic events both inside and outside missions.
The very first mission already probably has more explosions than most Call of Duty games in the entire campaign.

This! JC2 has all the explosions you need, also install the multiplayer mod and go to the airport if you wanna know the definition of chaos

Aye, Spec Ops: The Line was a surprisingly intense game with a deep story, even if its just a third-person shooter. Lots of "oh shit!" moments.

XCOM for the all times you watch your soldiers get murdered by various weapons and aliens in action cam.

Green Hill Zone of Sonic Generations is I think a cool benchmark to see the similarities between it and the original but the depth of the modern graphics.

You could do some real impressive mods with Skyrim of course.

A few levels into Hitman Absolution- The chinatown level i think is the first- there are HUGE crowds of people.

Thanks. As we are playing videogames since we are children, Sonic was one of the games i was going to show them, for nostalgic stuff and how good this Sonic (in 3D) is it. :)

If you want something spectacular I would go for these games if you had them:

Arma 3 (Make a huge battle and watch things pan out, plus fact you can have a 250km battlefield)

Star Citizen (CryEngine 4, need I say more?)

Freespace 2 (with Graphics Update, some of the user made cutscenes are pretty good)

It's a bit old, but Red Faction Guerrilla has destructable buildings, so you can make amazing things there.

No, it's not. RF2 is actually a step down from destroying everything.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Unfortunately I must agree. There's barely any destructible environment, and ignoring that, it's at most an average FPS.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

You mean Armageddon?.
Because its a linear game, it provides different locations, with more things to kill, and some sort of story that guerrilla couldn't really offer being a open world kinda game and all.
its still filled with action, but it sucks not being able to explore and destroy pretty much anything like the previous title

Loads of cool shit happens in Dead Space 2

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Since you mentioned, Dead Space 3 probably has everything OP wants, but its a bad game for those exact same reasons.
Or maybe not, there's plenty of dumb games like this that are actually really fun, like Resistance series.
it just shouldn't be a dead space game

Permalink

Dead Space 3 went way overboard (and it was just bad overall) but I think Dead Space 2 did really well

I guess if he just wants a big action-y bullshitfest, then yeah, there are better games for that (like Prototype)

Astebreed has plenty of stuff blowing up, DmC: Devil May Cry could qualify with how the limbo world morphs around you. I'd also offer Contra Hard Corps for more classic material, but you'll have to emulate it. It doesn't have an official PC release. Would fit the bill though, as it opens with ramming an APC through a horde of enemies and doesn't ease up from that. Come to think of it, Gunstar Heroes is a Genesis classic that is available on Steam, and would qualify if you want comedy along with your stuff blowing up.

How about Ryse: Son of Rome? It is surely a spectaсle, that was created to show off, what consoles can do, but now is on PC.
The gameplay surely sucks, cause it's mostly QTE, but the graphics are really good, cause it's a Crytek. Metro2033 and last light have a lot of cool scripted events, but the great ones are mostly at the end of the game, and the beggining can seem boring.

I actually enjoyed Ryse. I thought it would suck because of the QTEs too but it wasn't as bad as everyone thought after seeing that e3 2013 trailer.

No, you are incosistent, fool. I took the time cause i felt it was a nice thing to do, the man asks for game suggestions and as a huge gamer, i wanted to help out my fellow man, unlike you, thats the reason incase your blind eyes didnt read the topics description, thus confusing you on why i wrote all of that. I refuse cause i dont have to explain, i can give a name and thats it, you can check it out yourself, pluss it would take a week to describe each one and since youre realy retarded, il tell you a secret, that ''reasonable'' (youre a idiot...) request is a troll attempt. There you go.
