Prototype problems - need help

I just bought this game and can't play it. It looks I have 2 issues with it.

  1. Sound - it's lagging on a first introduction movie. I know I should lower the sampling but I can't find it on my Realtek Menager (on xp) - It's probably easy and I'll feel like an idiot later but now, just don't know.

  2. The game is lagging and my mouse moves really slowly. I don't have issues with newer games so I think it's not the drivers problem.

I'll be greatful for any help.

AMD Athlon 64 x2 6000+

Radeon HD 4650

There have been several report w.r.t AMD cards and Prototype. There may be a way to solve it, but I can't remember it offhand; google it! (I would, but I'm lazy)
Edit: Disregard, unless you're playing P2. (May be the same problem, but the ones I'm thinking of are Prototype 2 specific)
